Just wondering about the sound, and more importantly if the non-cat smell is a major issue for passengers.

it stinks and you will stink like exhaust, not worth the minor power gains and you will not pass e-test in ontario.

Took mine off a few years ago and have Long tube headers as well. Sounds great!! A little loud though.

I don't think it stinks any worse than my 01 without the rear muffler. Actually I don't think it is that bad at all and never heard anyone complain about it when getting a ride.

You probably can pick up 10 or 15 wheel HP without the cats.

I took mine off of my 96 RT/10 rear exit and the car is a little loud for my taste. I am thinking of doing a high flow aftermarket cat now. The biggest thing is that the car pops when decelerating prettybad but some people think it sounds cool ??

Mine are off. I doesn't necessarily "stink", that all depends on who you ask.

To me it smells like a real car, like sitting next to an old 69 camaro with the motor on. Tone improved, noticeable power increase as well.

It doesn't have a noticeable sound as it is (stock) compared with with the attention it gets when people happen to see it first. I only drive it on nice days without windows/roof---that said, would I still smell it wafting into the pass compartment?

took mine off. major restriction, you will notice definate improvement. Also installed a vec.1 and fine tuned the gas smell out. (altho, the smell, if any, didn't bother me anyway)

Removed mine, mainly to gain sound. Never noticed any major smell, but I usually am around older muscle cars that obviously would drown out anything my car would be making. The sound is nice and throaty, without being obnoxious. Still quiet at idle, but a noticable increase in sound when running hard. Still much quieter than most aftermarket exhausts that I have heard on almost any V8 american car.
