Question Throttle Body Question?

I tried the search and haven't found what I was looking for.

Questions are followed?

1. Upgrading your T.B.'s on a stock motor pointless?

2. What needs to be done if #1 is pointless to make it noticeable?

3. Who do you suggest I go to for them?

Thanks for the help.

1. Not much gain on a stock motor.

2. You will need to have the intake manifold openings enlarged to 70 mm to match the throttle bodies, otherwise they are even more of a waste. You should also get larger smooth tubes and modify the air box openings.

3. I have been looking for a good deal on them, so I cannot recommend anyone at this time.

SVS had a group buy on 70mm TB's a few months ago. Check with them to see if they have any left over.

An n/a motor needs more TB than a (mild) boosted one when modifying.

I've seen 2 x 100mm TB's work REAL well - but that needs a new intake and a big cam... and is race only unless you like it really rough

For street - 2 x 70mm would like headers, hi flow cats, and cat back plus a mild head job as well as the suggested mods in the earlier post. Then you'll get the best out of them. By then you'll benefit a lot from a rechip/tune
