Best Drag Radial

Im looking for a wheel tire combo for the viper to run at the track and maybe hook on the street when needed. I want the best traction possible.

I want to switch wheels, so If you guys could hook me up with some recomendations for tires and maybe a Knock off set of acr look- alikes, to mount the tires on.

If not maybe a cheap set of 4 wheels.

Thanks.

If you are going to switch wheels, get ET Streets and skip the radials.

et streets for max traction. 2nd best would be the bfg drag radials without having to swap fronts to skinnies.

The BFGs are very nice.................also I don't know if I would want ET streets on the street actually, I mean I've never had them so I can't really comment, but how stable are they at really high speeds on like a highway?

A question and a comment:

I ran the MT ET drag radials on the street all last year. You just have to remember that they are are not for cornering. The current MT radials only measure 9.75 thru the contact patch, but, they hook up pretty well on the street.

There was also some talk that MT was supposed to come out with a larger size drag radial in 16" - has anyone heard when they will be released?.

it would be like ice skating around every corner. there is too much sidewall flex. plus you have to run skinnies up front, so now you have 2 bicycle tires up front that have no grip or cornering capabilities.

I really dont want to go with an ET street right now - I want to stioll be able to drive it on the street if needed. Ive been looking around - should I stick with an 18 inch wheel and go with a BFG drag radial - or can I go to a 15 or 16 inch wheel and run a MT Radial ? I hear the MT's hook awesome, but can I go with a small wheel ?

The MT ET drag radials that are used on the vipers use 16" wheels. Like I said they really handle pretty well on the street - just not perfect and they do hook up nicely.

If your also looking to run on the interstate I think Kumhos would be a better choice then. I have BFG Drag Radials on another car and they are great in the street but you dont want to push them on the interstate or in cornering. For normal highway driving I found the BFG's to be OK.

I don't push my viper in the corners............I have my gay car(s2000) when I want to do some cornering. However I have thought of upgrading to some 18s with some nice BFGs on the back

I am not familiar with these tires. How are they driving on the interstate?
Would love to find something that is easier to buy then Kumhos, it is just that they work so well.

same as like a bfg dr but they hook 10x better... this is the only tire that I have seen hook up high (700+hp) cars on the street and track consistantly.. others may like different tires but this is what ive SEEN work
