How much NOS can you run on top of a blower?

I've got a Roe supercharger on my 1998 GTS. 10 # pulley, water/meth, headers, 1.7 rockers, exhaust, no cats, K&N's, etc.

I wouldn't mind running some nitrous in conjunction with the blower.

What is a safe shot to run through a twin screw?

40 shot dry, run race gas and go crazy with the timing?

100 shot wet and still be able to run pump gas?

Trying to figure out what it's going to take to get the car in the 9's on the factory block (no head/cam work yet)

Thanks,
JB

3-400 with a built bottom end. 500 if you are a risk taker. Seriously.

Why not just change pulleys?

I think 50-100 is common on many Roe cars. I'd upgrade your fuel system then worry about it.

Johnny, you have access to one of the foremost Roe/nitrous tuners in the country, work with him.

I think you can go with a N20/propane kit with a 150 shot (maybe 200?) on your setup. I've seen posts about that setup.

Joe would be the only one to touch the car. He was the one that suggested the dry 40 shot and race gas. I just didn't know what other people had been successful with and if there was a way to run more nitrous and still run pump gas.

With people going faster and faster almost every day, I jsut thought it would be prudent to check and see what the newest, hottest setup was right now.

Joe I know is a proponent of the dry shot. Upgrade to a better fuel pump and run a wet shot, no race gas needed.

Your driver 1Tony1 runs mid nines with stock heads on a Roe with less than a 100 shot if he is to be believed.

im not sure if tony is to be believed on that but he does know a ton about it. ask him or wait for him to see this.

id ALWAYS run a wet shot and think id keep it to a 150-200 shot.

but gotta upgrade the fuel system for that.

Several years back.....9.85 was with the 7lb pulley no W/M and 90hp worth of NOS jets....that 90 = 110rwhp on a Dynojet. We know tq was a bigger increase, but I forget the numbers. Seems like I spanked a Heffner TT on that pass Running for cover now

p.s. Jason gave me a big thumbs up when we got the timeslip.....that car wasn't big enough for my grin

I run about a 100 dry shot, kinda Larry tuned mine using the Vec 2 to add as much fuel as possible witht he NOS program running with the bottle down the track. I know I am pushing the outter limits of the fuel system with waht I have, (stock heads/cam), but will get to the fuel system when I do a major upgrade in a few years to include some Greg Good heads, bigger pulley, ported blower manifold etc. I had the capability to run 9's on my old setup(no W/M) with a MPH at 138(725 RWHP), but now pushing a little more, I should make my goal, we'll see if there is ever another Viper race I can attend

Getting back to the original question: "How much NOS can you run on top of a blower?"

I think you should run the nitrous into or thru the blower VS ontop of it.
