the real problem with makeing the CC street legal, at least from DCX is that the rear tail lights/brake lights don't meet the visibilty regulations with the body work extending to the rear and blockining the view from the side.

but i like it a lot
this may be an ignorant, but i really dont see the difference in the layout of the tail lights in the CC vs a corvette. looking at some pictures of both. they both a flat rear end with a nearly identical light setup, so how is it blocked from the side?
Nvm, found a better pic and now I can definately see how the lights are blocked on the sides better to find my own mistake than get flamed
really looks like a srt, lowered and with a hardtop..
Believe me, its a lot more than that. I changed the whole front. Infact, I just about changed everything. I did keep the rear the same and I didnt lower it. Its still the stock CC height. I was trying to make it look more like a production SRT with the CC lines/body.
This should give you a better idea of what I did. LOTS of changes.
See, the SRT front fascia should look like the one above. Much more open and aggressive. And without that Gen II rear-end, the car above looks fantastic. Awesome job - I wish there was a better picture/more colors you could sample from.
This is, in a more realistic sense, how the Coupe should have looked.

I get what everyone is saying about the rear. Obviously, Im no car designer, my goal was to just make the CC look more like something that could be used on the street. I, personally, like the rear the way it is. I do think it could be shortened a tad on the CC for street use, but other than that, the CC is perfect. I do agree, some of the CC atributes could/should be carried over to street/production models.
