EDIT: For the people who can't see it, the jist of the thread is that vipers wussed out this past weekend in TX(I would actually agree with that point save a few) and how its sad the viper is getting beat up by a little 6cyl(I don't agree with that point)
They are 2 different cars and I love both, but I think until people really experience both with open minds they will always battle it out when really both cars offer such unique things to the drivers.
Most high powered owner don't care about beating cars that aren't as cool.Might as we'll be 4 cyl Vegas with 6Turbo's.
We like to mod and talk shit and drive around town looking mean as fuck,while spanking the locals at our convenance.
If I had a Supra,Integra,Scion or SRT-4 MODDED I'd live at events showing people how fast and getting some attention and respect.

I had several riceburners before I could afford a Viper, They are great cars to start off with. I still drive riceburners although my 06 Lexus GS 430 is not your typical ricer.
Pretty clear difference to me. A car engineered in the US, assembled in the US with the vast majority of parts made in the US.
Compared to the Supra engineered in Japan, assembled in Japan with nearly 100% Japanese owned part suppliers.
The location of the ownership, or better stated the headquarters when comparing publicly owned companies, is of less significance. It is much more important to me of how much total value is provided by the US (raw materials and manpower), or better stated, how much of the outside countries. At some point we will need to be mindful or we will simply become the worker bees for the foreign countries. They already own approximately 50% of the national debt. So when we have a choice of US versus import I will always choose US, unless the US is clearnly non-competitive. I understand that philosophy is not the norm on the west or east coast. But then again, at the rate foreign countries are buying property on the coasts they will become foreign anyway.
