April 06 Issue of Automobile - Top 20 cars of the last 20 years

Obviously I'm biased, but when Automobile includes the Mini and Boxster in the list of 20 cars having the biggest impact on the automotive landscape in the last 20 years? Please.

There are other examples in the list, but did the Boxster (for example) really have more of an impact on the 'landscape' than the Vipers have in the last 20 years?

Granted, there's no way they can do that article and please everyone. But somehow it just seems they missed something there.

If we let magazines tell us what cars were the best we'd all be driving 3 series beamers and honda accords!

As time goes on people forget what Real impact cars have, especially the Viper. Everyone wanted one when it first came out. I remember even Good Housekeeping gave DC an award for having adjustable pedals in the car when they reviewed it.
To this day I still love the super tight lines of prototype VM-02 where everything fits perfectly because of the different molding used for it.

you may not agree, but to the automotive industry they are pretty significant cars. I do agree though that the Viper should be included, namely the 92 RT/10

It's quite obvious the Viper rules the automotive world and they are just plain wrong.

I picked that magazine up in the Denver airport the other day. It was so ridiculous, I went ahead and turned them all around and hid them behind some knitting magazine so nobody else would have to be insulted. I'll perform that same service this week at Oakland, Atlanta, Dulles, and Chicago

Nothing was going on in 92 when the Viper came out. Nothing. A Cobalt today would probably smoke a 92 Vette.
