Original Sand Marks??

I have a '98 Red RT. I've noticed if the light hits the paint just right, you can see what appears to be sand marks in the paint. Is this normal coming from the factory on these cars? I understand they are handbuilt. Does this mean they are hand sanded before painting too? Just wonder'in...........Hopin she wasn't repainted at some point! They're not that bad but.......

alot of these cars have been painted but a little wet sand and buff should take those marks away.

So true...I know of several Vipers that have been painted...most actually...indeed all...

Back to the original question...

Strip her down using Dawn (the detergent, not the chick - pics mandatory if you use the latter)...then clay-bar...

The wax/polish you decide to use from there is your own decision...I will not get into that convo...

I've seen this before on the darker colors. It's nothing to be too alarmed about as long as you don't see other indications of a repaint such as over-spray or paint lines around the edges of panels/doors, etc...
Even then, many Vipers can from the factory with over-spray due to factory touch-ups...
