What causes "hood-speaker" color to peel off?
I'm looking at a 2001 GTS where the color on the "hood-speakers" peeled off. Is this "common"? What could be a possible cause of it - abuse? Excessive heat?
TIA

Is it peeling off or just kinda gone/faded away ?
Just not enough paint on them in some cases. Easy enough to remove them and hit them with some black spray paint.

Just be sure that when you put them back on, you have a magnetic screw driver. It is REALLY easy to loose those little screws down the hood.

Here's a little trick for getting them off, use a funnel, and stick the screw driver in the funnel that way if the screw falls it won't get stuck in the hood. Trust me I know from expeirence.
