I want to know what it is about the Corvette that you guys do not like. What is it about the Viper that you like more then the Corvette? This is serious, no BS please. I'm also posting the oposite question on a Corvette foum.
But I have done a bit of research on the Z and a few things I don't like.
Biggest being the stupid tire pressure sensors that are actually an active part of the engine management. 500hp car that gets noused if you raise pressure (track tires) or lower pressure (drag slicks) is absolutely fucking useless.
I hate electronic bandaids, learn how to drive the fucking car or buy an accord, either way it doesn't matter to me.
It's ugly
of note, other than being a true vert I don't really like the Gen III viper either.
I've owned both. I personally like the exclusivity aspect of owning a Viper. On any given day I might see 10-20 Vettes around town, but maybe 1 Viper. That's just me though and I'm kind of a materialistic prick. Of course if I had my choice, I'd be driving an Enzo, not a Viper or Vette...With that said though, I think your question is a little asinine.

I've owned a few dozen GM performance cars, about half dozen of them Corvettes. What do I like better about the Viper? I don't see them everywhere I go, and there is not a car on the road with a profile as pretty as a Gen II GTS.
I like driveing my viper knowing that every tom, dick and harry doesnt have one. Vettes are a dime a dozen. I have only seen 1 other viper here in utah and that was over a year ago.

Put aside HP vs HP, road litter, etc...one word sums up the difference between the two...

I AM REALLY PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!!!.MY NEW STOCK ZO6 HAS MORE POWER,IS FASTER, DRIVES BETTER,IS LIGHTER THEN MY STOCK VIPER.
I'm 45 so my disdain for Corvette or more specifically GM, is rooted in their abandoning big cubes and letting performance go down the shitter for 20 years. I was faithful in my youth and tried to be throughout the 80s but when Jesus touched my eyes I woke up and said, "WTF is this crap? GM sucks."
But for the past couple years GM has done well with the Z06. It is an excellent track car it just isn't for me, simply because I feel like I'm sitting in a Cadillac, not a sports car.
I also prefer big cubes, a driver's car and no bells n' whistles.
Styling matters some but if it doesn't have what I listed then style is just rice.
As long as Dodge keeps doing what they are doing and GM keeps doing what they're doing GM will never win me over.
