Well I finally took the plunge and tried to add bass to a RT/10. While the footwell is probably the "best" place for it, I decided to have the center console redone. Custom Sounds fabricated a new section with 2 8"JL subs. I think it came out pretty good and it sounds great (for a car with no top). Here it is.................
center is best. do a custom 8" enclosure and itll hit like a 10-12 of most buckets. as for a genI; your setup is a bit different but you can still do it, hell, MAybe even a 10"...
My only issue with it is that it kinda puts a wall between you and your passenger. Even worse, it seems at the correct height to avoid all visual contact with the breastal region of an attractive female.
wtf are u talking about?? unless u got a ghettosled 15 in a box form homedepot u wont see a damn thing bro. thats why it works; aesthetics and quality equally so...
email me, ill show you some pics. i am redoing my current setup; in dash 7: dvd/cd screen, 6.5 JL full components in the doors (when "allegedly only 5.5's would fit like stock...BS...), a JL 6W0 mid sub (in a tight-ass enclosure) and the other hardware in the trunk (two amps, crossovers, and 12 disc changer with an additional 20gig hardrive jukebox.
going to do MB quarts for components, an 8" midconsole sub in, as i previously said, custom enclosure, so itll hit like a 10-12, crossovers and amps still in trunk just upgraded. ditching the cd changer and hardrive. dvd/cd being upgraded to xm/gps/dvd, blah blah blah...
i have had many critics regarding the RT10 stereo possibilities and i have shut em all down. music is as important to me as speed and i have a nine second RT10 with a sound system to match its ET :fist:
