I don't have my slip but it was a 1.36 sixty, 5.76 eighth at 13x and a 8.75 at 168.00. Since then we've added and subtracted a couple things. The 8.76 had a 1.41 and 5.77 I believe.

Something needs to be said about the fact that every single person or group of people that own a car other than a Viper tends to always try and compare how it performs against the Viper. Why is that?
No knock on the Supras, cause I think they are great cars, but the last time I saw a Supra go, it ran 2 passes (I think) and on the 3rd pass it broke (I don't know what happened).
This is in AZ, I don't know who's car it is, but that was a shame cause that car was supposely a 9 second car. I don't think that car went anywhere close 9s.
Also, I remeber a race my friend had with a Supra on the 101 loop a while back, he had a Roe blower on his 97 blue and white and all I remeber was the Supra getting beaten pretty bad.
Just speaking from what I actually saw, not he said she said stuff.

The Supra you speak of is probably Saad's Supra. It has gone low 9's (9.1) @ 160+ MPH with a 6speed and 3900 pound weight. He has been having some halfshaft issues lately though because he's trying new things.
As far as the Blue and White Viper, if that's Tim's car with the Wyoming plates I tore that car up with my Supra on the 101. He gunned it a couple of car lenghts ahead of me (before I was ready) and I was already passing him when he missed 4th gear. I had a passenger with me (A Viper owner that posts here) that witnessed it all. Of course considering his car was a ~640 RWHP car and mine was running at ~725 RWHP that night (826 RWHP at higher boost), it was to be expected.
As far as comparing cars to the Viper, that's true. But I do remember in the early days of SC and Turbo Vipers dynoing high HP numbers you would always see comments from people such as "Go out and spank some Supras on the freeway!"
For whatever it's worth the last 3 times out at the track we have had broken Vipers, mine once and a friend's twice. Mine the halfshaft, his the halfshaft and the rear end...... Last 2 times for Ryan Woon at the track he has broken only records.....

Oh I did not know that was you.
Not to make this a bigger thing than it was but I saw it a little different from the truck behind him. But oh well...
It also has to be noted that the performance upgrades and knowledge for Supras have been around for a while, whereas the Vipers tuners are just begining to scratch the surface of its potential. I know that there will more to come in Viper community.
Halfshafts sucks. I know stock Vipers that broke halfshafts. So I guess HS just suck in these cars.

1st gen Viper came out in 92, MKIV supra came out mid 93 early 94
a viper is a pushrod engine which has been around since way before probably either of us have been born
There will be more to come for the Viper which is why I sold both my MKIV supras to get a viper

No offense but there was only 1 outcome to that race (I started 2+ cars behind and in a couple of seconds was passing him when he missed 4th) and there's no way you could get a good view in a truck unless it was a very fast truck. Also he was there by himself (Pavillions), I don't remember seeing you and didn't think you even lived here then?!?!?
There's a reason he wouldn't run again, I waited and waited for him and he didn't want any more of the Supra. I even challenged him later and he claimed that he didn't street race, even though he raced that night....

He was in the Viper himself, besides myself, his wife and our other friend was there. But like I said, Oh well, we will never know cause he no longer has that Viper. You are correct, the truck was not very fast, but that was what I saw.
I think I should go to the Texas shootout and see how this all turns out. Or maybe I should just buy a Supra and see what all the talk is about... ...I am sure my wife would like to it to the store...wait...that is what the Corvette is for. :thumb:

I'm sure the fact that he gunned it way before I even had a chance to line up (from about 60 MPH) may have looked to someone in a truck (not fast) behind us as the car pulling way. Of course once I was passing him at ~120 MPH after making up 2+ car leghts you were probably far back enough that you couldn't see the Viper getting passed and had to rely on his BS story.
