I have had a couple of emails asking about how my SRT performed, so I decided to put all the details here.
Saturday, I showed up to the track with my SRT. I checked the tire pressure(25PSI), boost settings(ramped up to 13 PSI) and staged for a shake down pass. Germaine didn't even grab the camera, because I told him it was just going to be a test run. I cleaned the tires off, staged the car, and took off. The car spun off the line, so I was on and off the throttle all the way through 1st. I made a quick shift to second, and the car settled down after a second of ass-shimmying. Third and forth were uneventful.
I get the slip and to my surprise, I ran a 10.651 @148.19mph on 20" HRE's!!! The 1/8th mile was a 7.22 @ 111.22mph. I was pretty excited, because I knew I had a better launch left in the car, and I knew I had a lot more power (about 150rw) that could be brought in on the big end of the track. That's when my game fell apart. I found out that I picked the wrong clutch for this application. The second I tried to put any more than about 14PSI to the car, the clutch wouldn't hold. If I tried to clutch the car up off of the line, it would get too much heat in it ande start to slip. The bottom line is, all weekend, I had to bog the car off of the line(to keep from overheating the weak clutch) and limit myself to about 900rwhp.
I still managed several 10 second passes in the high 140's. Sunday, I tried twice, but the clutch was begging for mercy. I decided there was no since in beating a dead horse, so I called it quits. Jason is going to put a stronger clutch in it and we are going to go after the world record. Obviously I am no expert, but I bet we can get a 10.3 at 151 or so out of it with a good clutch.
Here is the vid of the car running a 10.7.

Here is a vid of the car being a PITA all the way down the track. You can hear me in and out of the throttle all the way through third(that was fun).

Jason Heffner has built me a truely incredible street car. Thanks man. :thumb:
Oh BTW, I drove the car 45 minutes from Jason's shop to the track, and I was going to drive it the 450 miles home if I hadn't decided to change out the clutch.
