What makes the difference between a race car and a street car?
First of all congrats to 1TONY1, Chad and Heffner. What you guys accomplished was no small feat I'm sure.
What I don't understand is where all of this bullshit about the car being a race car comes from. I did see the car for the first time today I don't get where these guys are coming up with this race car shit. Despite what Cole Trickle says, the car DID still have the stereo in tact. There was a radio and speakers but the subwoofer box has been removed. The full interior was also in tact with the exception of the passenger side knee bolster which Heffner said was out so that they could have access to something to do with the boost controller. The car did still also retain the full air conditioning system and power steering. The only thing that I saw that would have lightened the car up at all was a carbon fiber hood and fascia which looked beautiful. I asked Heffner if they intended to paint those pieces and he said that they just hadn't had time to locate a suitable painter near his new location yet. Does not having your hood and fascia painted make the car less streetable? If you were to install some carbon fiber parts on your stock Viper does that mean that it is now a race car?
On another note, another thing I noticed was that while a short while ago Dr. Roof, and several others made a big fuss about Chad's car having side exhaust and that having side exhaust made it a race car but no Roof has side exhaust on BOTH of his cars.
At least Dr. Roof had enough class to congratulate the opposition while 2Manytoys displayed no sign of class at all.
I think some feelings are hurt because things didn't go as planned. Chad focused on going 7's and he did it boo hoo. Oh, 2manytoys, if Dr. Roof's auto car wasn't dialed in yet, maybe he shouldn't have been telling people that he guarantees that his car is going a 7 this weekend. :thumb:

ok, i though i was putting it polite by calling it a racecar. its beat to shit, the doors are cracked from the hood, one of the mechanics cracked the front end with a jack as i was standing there, the carbon fiber was splitting where the hood met the facia and the hood doesnt look like it will accept a naca duct. BUT, as a racecar its BADASS

What a fucking moron! You do realize that they stood the car on the bumper on Monday right? And it came down hard It's pretty obvious that is why the front end is cracked. Pull your head out of your ass you fucking douche bag. I guess they should have skipped the race because the appearance wasn't up to your standard.

I spoke with Jason about that, and besides the frame a few other things were damaged as well. So considering they got the car all back up and running again in that very short amount of time... then to click off the 7 ... :thumb:
Plus I'm sure Chad is quite aware of what the car looks like, and it's nothing a few touch ups cant handle

It isn't perfect right now as the wheelstand caused the hood to hit the doors and assorted other blemishes. We got the car straight but theblemishes remain. It will be perfect again.
For now I'll take fast, first and ready for tomorrow over anything else.

The difference is that when people get spanked by a race car, they accept it with graceful elegance and appreciation.
When they get spanked by a street car, they get a burr in their vagina and they will only accept the superiority of the faster street car by deciding it is a race car.

Thats still a street car in my book, coming from Supra's Chads car sounds equivilant to Marko's 8 second street Supra, its got a TH400 Auto but is considered by all in the Supra community to be a street car.
Hey if you run 170+MPH you're not going to have a clean show car.

Now that would be a sight...
<this part not directed at Orlando>
Chad's car is not a fucking racecar. So, all of these Honda's running around with CF hoods are racecars also??? Give me a break. I would put the "streetness" of Chad's car up against that of any other 7 second "street" car.

Gary, you're car was fun to watch going down the track.. You would spin all the way until 4th, and I think you were still spinning in 4th too LOL. One question, you were running 145+ MPH traps Saturday but I noticed on Sunday your MPH dropped into the mid 130's, any reason? Beautiful car, it was my favorite at the meet.
Nice work on the gokart track too, I think the weight advantage of your 2 person kart was too much to overcome. I would try to wipe you into the wall but would always come out on the short end of the stick.
