IDLE SPEED ON 98 RT??

Did a search but it brought up every topic except what I was looking for. Probably need to refine the serach but figured this would be quicker. As the topic asks, what is the typical idle speed for an RT at operating temp neutral? This is my first vip and I'm aware of th rough idle as being normal but wasn't sure of the idle. According to the tach, its showing less than 500 RPM. Thanks in advance!

About 700 +/- 25 rpm (non adjustable without computer mods).

The first large tick next to 0 is 500, the next small one is 750.

If you are just below the small one in the middle you are probably right on.

The factory tach is not very accurate at low RPM.

Your idle is probably right as carguy said above. You've got a 98.. Lumpy cam, nuetral gear rattle, etc.. ENJOY!!
