The Battle of the Super Powers "HEFFNER PERFORMANCE and UNDERGROUND RACING" has just got bigger!
Recent emails from Hot Rod Magazine has confirmed that they will be covering the event! Chad and I have both had coverage of our cars in the Magazine with Chad having the well deserved greater :thumb: Now they want us side by side :thumb:
they want to see these 8 second street VIPERS go head to head :thumb:
I am sure they will do a story on the entire event with the highlight being the 8 second cars :thumb:
Regardless of who wins..... ultimately the VIPER gets the spotlight :thumb:
That would be unless you both get taken down by a Supra or a Vette.
Good point. I wonder if a week is enough to get that solid roller cam and new heads in? I can see the article title now...... "Tupperware Tames Two Snakes"
Cool! This will be good for all involved and may push the series a bit further?
The foundation is there, it just needs implemented to the next level. You guys/tuners have an opportunity to take this event/series to levels that would benefit all involved. Bottom line is...build it up and your phones won't stop ringing with customers wanting there cars in your shops.
Oh, I'm sure to be there Ward, and I'm bringing a box of eskimo pies with me.
On a serious note, I will be bringing some of the tx2k5 videos I made in TEJAS (cough cough, you weren't there) and of course, I'm going to make my annual v10 nats video.
I will post a teaser video as usual and this year, daddy's got some new toys so I hope the video will be better. maybe..hopefully, probably.

and yes we can trade stories....Katrina blew my beach office about 2 miles into the gulf. Whatcha got that will top that

Last year hurricane chased me out of the state on the way to Shreveport and to VOI, I was the only Florida posse to make it out with their car, other Chuck Babel. Also last year all THREE hurricanes destroyed part of my livelihood by destroying and knocking down trees in my nursery.
I also have to deal with freezes that can kill my crops and new bugs that are brought in to the state/country by tourists...ie Canker, Sago snow scale, and pink hibiscus mealy bugs. Also not to include any of my dealings with the Department of Agriculture, South Florida Water Management District, EPA, local or national other governmental agencies ...just to name a few...ooops I forgot to mention dealing with my wife.
