For the people that think it might be nitrous on there I assure you there is not any kind of Nitrous on the David's Viper. If need be just to prove it I will let Jason Heffner inspect the car. The only thing I will ask is to cover up the Turbo's and Down pipes. We have a lift in our tralier that it can be inspected on. :thumb:

Stand up offer but the race will produce the facts once it is ran. To any one that likes you, underground or not you are smart enough to run a straight up TT program. I guess it is like anyone else that runs good numbers you will always find the ones that are looking for a skunk in the wood pile just to start some crap. Don't waste (I know you wont) any time defending your great accomplishment, enjoy the fruit but not the grapefruit.
The Roof/underground/Kevin vs Chad who/heffner performance/Jason show will undoubtedly be the high light of the event. Heff and yourself have both struck a nerve that has brought the Viper TT into the spotlight.
Thank you for doing this on another yellow Viper, thanks to roof for owning a yellow viper and staying with the program.
Its that Howeth thing, right
Cabo or bust , I think you might have a prospective customer there and you might need to fly down to answer his questions.

Thanks for your support :thumb:As far as Cabo im there :thumb: Just dont tell Mary... I will just say im going to a race
So nice to see these cars running this quick and this fast! I recall telling the Viper world MANY MANY MANY years ago that TT is the ONLY way to go. ALL the naysayers from back then have been VERYYYYYYY quite lately!

Very true and I remember 3 years ago at one of your first races I attended you talking about the power of the supras.
I think the problem stems from the hard heads of Viper owners. To listen to a Supra person was unheard of and to take advise was totally wrong. You played it right by continued suggestions until someone else ( a viper person) thought of it.
I figured you had an RSI car ??? Stout numbers...is it a centrifical car or you spraying on top of turbos ?
Sorry to respond so late!! just woke up. I do have an RSI built car, like Rohn stated I Put that name in my sign 2 years ago and am too lazy to change it It does have a paxton on it and it actually puts out 960/935tq. On the spray I have put down 1200/1200, basically the same combination as Jasons Styles, except different cubic inches, Damn I need to update my shit.
No, my car is not at UGR, I only stated that the I have talked to Kevin and my future plans involve UGR Kevin has proven his combos both SC's and turbos, so its only natural for me to go with the best.
RSI has done me right the past 2 years, and I have no problems letting Jason wrench on my cars, but at this moment Kevin is at the top of his game and I intend to swing on his nuts this whole year , J/K Kevin
Tony I hope i cleared up all the confusion..
Ron.

Kenny, I have been thinking about the whole comparison with the auto and manual in regards to the MPH.
When they checked the datalog for Chad's shifts, it took him .4 seconds to go from full throttle, to shift, back to full throttle.
Three shifts is 1.2 seconds not on the gas.
I think the simple fact the auto allows the driver to be in the gas for longer would make up for the higher drive line loss and the smoother power delivery/better hooking{minimizing trap speed} of the auto.
==> The Viper has enough power in reserve to not be able to put down anyway that I think the usual cars do in regards to having slower MPH than their 6-speed counterparts.
This is just my opinion, but I think David Bogg's car is making MORE power than Chad's car when it did the 8.75@ 168.
I think the 6-speed 168MPH and auto 176 were the same power level with more time in the gas.
I also think Chad's car was MUCH smoother than David's car. If Underground can get David's car set up as well as Chad's car was last year at Bradenton, they will be even faster!
Any way you cut it they are both monster powered cars and we are splitting hairs here. :thumb:
Paolo, sorry but I disagree. I'm new to the viper game, but I have raced a bit and I can tell you that with otherwise identically modified or stock vehicles, the manual always traps higher. I understand that the auto spends more time on the gas, I just don't think it's enough to make an auto trap higher than a manual. Chad himself has said that there was a major hp difference between his 8.75 and the auto run.
That said I think at the state of tune from his auto run, that same car would have trapped as high or higher with a stick---maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so.
As to anyone who got their panties in a bunch over the nitrous comment, I wasn't the first to mention it---others have suggested it as an explanation of the mph increase between the eighth and the traps. Also, I made the comment tongue in cheek because I truly believe Roof's car has already been faster and will be faster at Bradenton. I wasn't trying to rain on Kevin's accomplishment, because getting a pig like a Viper down the strip in that time is a major accomplishment, even if it used more power adders than the Liberace mobile.

No, just nitrous and blower cars, and they were non-vipers. Well, I did have a turbo Porsche, but that wasn't what I would consider high hp.
Are you trying to tell me that unlike other power adder cars turbos mph faster with an auto than a stick? I'd be interested to hear that explanation because I haven't learned anything new yet today.
I'll have a high hp turbo viper soon though---fucking Katrina messed up my play money for a little bit.

Yea, come go for a ride and I will show you :thumb:
Kenny you are just plain WRONG the auto in a turbo car will put down better mph and et, i suggest you talk to Paolo rather than tell him shit which is incorrect.
I believe it will put down better et, but I haven't ever seen a car pick up mph with an auto. I also haven't heard any logical explanation from Paolo or anyone else that would lead me to believe this is the case.
Ron are you another one of Paolo's fucking nutsack hangers? Paolo does know his shit, but it drives me nuts that every fucking new guy around here decides to fight Corey for the number one nut swinging job with him.

I got big nuts, get a life ass wipe i don't have to swing on anyones nuts. Funny when you don't know shit about turbo cars you just make an ass of yourself rather than trying to learn. Take time to take your head out of your ass dipstick before you start flames, i have had both stick and auto turbo cars and no doubt auto with the proper combo is faster and quicker.
auto is faster and quicker for the reasons Paolo pointed out - you get more time on the throttle..
now if you compare an auto to a RACE stick shift - then that changes, but the autos are getting better and the old advantage that was once enjoyed by the Lencos, Liberty's and other race air or lever shifted race trans is much smaller on the big torque cars than it used to be... people have run 6's on autos in heavy cars now - something not possible only a few years back.
The Lenco would remain the quickest drag box most likely in classes that allow them - but they are not street boxes.
NO way are you going to match a race prepared auto with a T-56 synchro - the synchros are too slow dude.
