I have several friends that run them on their track cars (Camaros). Great tires for road racing with enough tread depth to drive them on the street. I didn't know they were available in Viper sizes.

I just bought a set from Vilven Tire. (217) 583-3277
They have lots in stock. Price was $228 for the 305/30/18 and $241 for the 335/30/18.

They are getting mounted on my wheels as I type this. I've been using Pilot Sport Cups. I'm headed for the track tomorrow, to see how these Kumhos compare.

Tom you got an engine in that car so you can "burn up" the tires? Thought I saw you post a pic with the engine out.

Ok, I meant "after I get my engine back". Right now the only thing burning around my car is the midnight oil.

Price for the Toyos is $1295. They are DOT and the spec tire for Speedvision World Challenge. Good if you track, I wouldn't use them for drag though...

Have any of you guys tried the nitto 555 R's? They have a 335/30/18 now.

No...but with a treadwear of 15k I would assume they are a harder compound than the Kumho's (5-7K). I would be interested in hearing feedback from anyone who has run these though...

A buddy of mine runs the 305/30/18 on his vette and loves them. He says that they hook as well as the BFG Drag Radials, but he is not scared to get caught in the rain with them.
