Some of you guys know me, but here is a brief intro from an email I just sent out, anyway.
I'm sending this out to invite some selected people out for a day of vehicular fun.
As you may well recall, I've talked to a bunch of people about putting cars and bikes together to run for amusement and video/internet fame. The last effort I put out was the Kings of the Street (you can check it out at www.fulltiltlife.com Preview available at bottom of page here: http://www.racingflix.com/getdvd.asp?dvd=3 ). Now that I've moved up to Vancouver, BC, I don't do it as often. However, I'll be back in SoCal from the 5th to the 12th. I'm planning on getting out twice during that time to get some cars and bikes together.
The first date will be Saturday, the 5th early morning for high speed stuff. As we traditionally do, we'll have a good group meal somewhere afterwards to swap stories. That evening, I anyone who is game can continue onto www.lacr.net where they should allow anyone to run. It would be a good follow up the early day runs with some timed drag strip runs from a dig.
The preferred second date will be Friday, the 11th, which will be a holiday for many people.
I'm also around during the week and Sunday the 6th.
The objective as always will be to put together the vehicles so that the matchups will be interesting. We can alter the starts if necessary by giving a lead, differentiating start speeds, lengthening the runs, etc. It will specifically NOT be "racing", and egos should be left at home locked in a closet wrapped in wet towels. We want to enjoy ourselves.
To that end, there will be no spectators. Everyone there will either be holding a camera or driving a vehicle or providing direct support. Safety will be the first concern for everyone.
I want to get the most impressive machinery possible out, so feel free to forward or post this email wherever you like. I want to get the best cars possible out to play, so think about who might be appropriate to include. NOTE: I'm only interested in people who are comfortable driving their vehicles as they are meant to be driven. No one will be asked to do anything they don't feel confident about. But at the same time, for example, if you won't break 140mph in a 700HP car, don't bother.
email me at FullTilt(at)FullTiltLife.com if you or someone you know would be up for this.

FullTilt, very classy post! I like it! ==> No smack, good details and explanation.!
Like I said in our earlier phone conversation, when my car is ready, I will run anybody.
I just think you will be hard pressed to find any hardcore Viper owners with high powered TT's that will go balls out for the type of races that Manny did in the desert.
I guess we will see if there is anybody out there with a car ready and the stones to lay it down..............

Cant wait to see the Video results once everything is all set up ready to roll. With Paolo's car... Alot of cars and bikes will be seeing a blue and white striped rear bumper ahead
it's a shame i never got to bring my car down to run you guys...i was always interested in racing anything fast (everyone bailed on me and i wasnt about to travel 500 miles by myself to race some guys i dont know...no offence)
this porsche is slower than my car (direct quote from Shelby owner (not me) who raced my car a few years ago and this car recently...with the exact same setup) funny thing is the porsche owner bought my car LOL
if your'e ever up north let me know and im sure i can find something for you guys to play with...
Yes, it's me. I wished you guys had made it down to play back then, too.
Perhaps another day. I will be in SoCal from the 4th-12th and am hoping to get together with some interesting cars. Feel free to connect me with anyone you think would represent well.
Your 996tt buddy sounds like he might be perfect. Did you get my email?
PM me if you didn't so I've got current information for you.
Full Tilt,
You guys are racing in CA? Too bad you aren't a little closer. If you are willing to come to my side of the playground, I would be willing to play. It's hard for me to get away from my business. The big dog won't be ready for a few months, but I can bring my little convertible out. It should be able to handle a mild T-Busa or it's equivalent from a roll. I would be willing to get up to around 200 or so. I look forward to speaking with you in the future. :thumb:
I do wish I was closer to you. It is really nice to find such a willing participant with a stout car. You are a rare creature, indeed. As I told you on the phone some time ago, I will certainly have you on my list of 'must-sees' when I do make the cross country trip to film some more action.
I've got to keep beating the bushes in SoCal to get the car guys out to play.

After I read that, it took me a moment to think of exactly how fast these cars have gotten in recent years.
Granted, Gary's got NUTZ to be pushing a car that hard; but since when does someone just say "Ho hum.....I'll go up to about 200 or so....give or take." In a convertible. These cars are getting to be insane!

Yeah but the car's or vipers at least that he has could handle 200 no problem. i mean look how EASY h flew up to 180 in the busa vid. :thumb: And it looked really controled to, dont want any hop at those speeds anyways
Plus 200+ mph in the FE when it's done... will be a strole in the park
It is great having guys like Gary represent the community. Great car and an attitude to match. I'm still holding out hope that someone there in the SoCal area will step up to the plate and meet with us.
Sometimes it gets frustrating because people won't commit to coming out to join us. We love having the Vipers out with us and folks like David and Manny can attest to the good times had by all when they do come.
