New Coupe pricing

Just a thought about the much higher MSRP on the new coupe. I was thinking that in 03 with the release of the SRT with a coupon that was sold for $5000.00 to 10K DC said "oh well lets make the extra bucks ourselves"

Why do you think that the price has taken such a big jump?

huh that Profit thing, I've heard of that. I guess the vette selling umpteen million cars that profit thing is realized where as a Viper selling 1000 to 2000 the profit thing must be realized with less sells and that equates to more dollars.
Thanks for helping me understand but I like my theory better.

What price jump? The new coupe is priced at 83k (the blue and white limited package brings it to 91k). The SRT '04 I had was 84k msrp. The coupe is actually less.

Re: New Coupe pricing

VRS the 2002 GTS yes there was a good pop in pricing.
Are they really calling the blue and white a limited? I thought all colors were going to be limited to a run of 200.

Stop thinking, Dodge marketing hates that.

I am not sure. I only know the blue & white is limited to 200, if the others are too than I dont doubt it.

For once I actually agree with Craig, how can this be...

Anyways, when asked why the new coupe had no new improvements, especially traction control, good ol Herb H, simply explained that "the car comes with two types of traction control... your left and right foot" he explains

Dodge is "Different" alright --->

Re: New Coupe pricing

if you can order a new srt coupe at invoice - some dealers like mike robbins at ringgold will sell that way - then you are looking at getting a new srt coupe without any stripes or special edition pimp packages - for about $79k. thats a lot of car for the money in my opinion and you will have a car that wont get lost in the sea of C6's on the road.

And that comment followed by is precisely why you need to go bother people on some other forum: you don't get it.

And for once I'm not referring to your endless self-promotion as God's best buddy, but that's really chapping everybody's ass, too.

John
Special edition pimp package huh? Then a purchase of YOUR rims would be adding to the pimp factor?
Jerome did say that "John has been buying vipers out of state" and started to cry, the power you have on the local dealers is like rock star status.(sorry rockstar)

I knew the blue white was a run of 200 but really never thought special edition. I guess I should have seen that coming but every other Viper manufactured lately is being called a "Special Edition", so many there coming out our ass. I can't wait for the special edition special edition, now that will be the one worth 100K, a double special edition.
