My friend Gary stopped by today with his new coupe, number 004/200. I had my 97 out so I decided to snap a few pics. Sorry this isn't some elaborately staged photo shoot; he was in a hurry and couldn't stay long.
Then he let me drive it, with only 100 miles on the odometer :thumb: I've never driven a Gen 3, so it was quite eye opening for me. I still wouldn't trade my 97 for it though. I'd like to have both, but as TVC would be quick to point out, "Then you would have two Vipers that you barely drive!"
I would say that around here, you are unlikely to start a debate as most would agree with you. Got my new C&D and it was a sad experience to read that article.
I have the exact opposite opinion after seeing it in person. I'm with Craig, they never did get the rear styling done correctly. I like the front though. It sure did look mean coming down the street!
Another observation: the tall peaks on the fenders take some getting used to when you are behind the wheel.
The 06' Coupe looks OK but not as exotic as a GTS. It looks too plain to be a VIPER. Rear doesn't do it to me and the sides remind me of a Corvette. Yeah sure it's faster, brakes better and is more comfy inside but it lacks the 'presence' of a GTS.
I wouldn't trade in my GTS for one... I would however really think about getting rid of my Cuda for one.... theres something about 2 blue and white Vipers next to each other in the garage is interesting
Chuck, how long was your Viper OUTSIDE your garage?!?!?!?!
Yeah I was shocked to see it out of the bubble as well. Didn't I see a light fluffy cloud in the sky, that should be enough to keep it climate controlled usually!!
You know it is bad when the president of the Illinois VCA refers to you in a public meeting as "bubble boy".
