Clutch Recommendation

I am presently running a Center Force clutch. Clutch was installed and went straight to the dyno. No break in time. Third and fourth gear shifts at WOT have become very difficult. Shifting at part throttle is fine. The problem is at WOT. I am pretty sure that the problem is the clutch.

I have been recommended the Spec Stage 3+. I do not have any experience with this clutch. Looking for some feedback.

BTW, I still will be using a stock flywheel.

Recommendations are appreciated.

Re: Clutch Recommendation

If you're talking about the Centerforce with the centrifugal perimeter weights, I have a vague recollection of reading about some tuner who removed about half the weights to eliminate problems with shifting at high RPM (where the weights are having the most effect). You might try contacting Sean Roe about that as I know he sells that clutch (Jason Heffner does too but you'll likely have a hard time getting in touch with him right now).

Re: Clutch Recommendation

Pass on the RPS. I've had a few of them and when they told me the "rebuildable" clutch could be rebuilt for a discounted $950 i told them to buzz off... especially where a spec can be had for 1/2 the price.
