2004 SRT-10 Viper Sound System Upgrades - Please Help!

I hope someone can help with this...

I just purchased a new viper (2004 model, but new) and had a new sound system installed:

clarion vrx755vd dvd deck
kicker 550.3 amp
OzAudio Crossovers
Oz Audio Door speakers
Oz Audio Font Speakers
Kicker 8" S8L7 square sub
IPod mounted in console glove box
custom sub box for passenger side
amp mounted in trunk

The problem is the car audio place disconnected the factory sub (said its useless) as well as the mid and tweeters behind your head. I was really hoping these could be upgraded and functional - can they not be? would it not improve sound quality in the cabin if they were?

As well as the trim plate around the deck looks like shit, the cover around the amp doesnt match the carpet - and carpet (looks almost like felt) on sub. Can anyone recommend a site with replacement carpet... or? any ideas?

For the trim plate around the deck, can anyone recommend someplace to get more OEM style, that matches the factory... currently looks like a cheap $28 installation kit piece of crap

I was lead to believe the installation would be more eye appealing.. they told me they could not get anything else to match the factory carpet.

I am somewhat happy with the sound quality, although I still think the other speakers could be upgraded and utilized.

Any suggestions, recommendations, help would be much appreciated!!!

(I will try and take some pics and upload them somewhere if needed)

I really like this viper, I feel that the sound should be just as good!

You should just go to another audio store. And get some expertize there. Good luck :thumb:

Go to another place and get another opinion. That would be your best move.

that's what I thought as well. The cover in the trunk isnt too bad, I think I'll have a new one made and covered in the suede, same as the seat inserts. Still a bit pissed they couldn't utilize the factory sub, or upgraded it. The new sub box has awesome bass, but takes up some space and doesn't match. I wanted and OEM look, no need for the Honda Civic' style here.

Looks thrown together. Find another install place.. Talk to the manager of the place that installed it and ask him if it was his car would he be happy or proud the way it looks ? I was thinking of taking the head unit out of the car, but was worried how an aftermarket unit flowed with the interior. I don't think I"ll be getting an aftermarket head unit. I'll see if I can find a way I can get my IPOD to hook into the head unit. Perhaps there's a stock Auxillary jack in the back or something..

Good luck!

heres an install worthy of being in a viper....also that kicker sup should have been replaced by something like a focal sub upside down and then covered to make it look oem...no need to look like it was put in afterwards it takes away from the look...i would have personally gotten the rb1 and did an install like the following:
