I should have called you, I will admit. 2995 is cheaper than 3000, unless you are telling everyone here you have lowered your price to 2900. You having talked to 7 other people that night is not my fault, you blamed me for raising the price at the end of the deal, I don't think that was right. You could have had those rims sold for 2850, you would have paid 150 shipped to Toronto,(as opposed to 100 in the states). That's a pretty "pony". I find you to be immature and your business skills are undeveloped, to say the least. I have never had a problem with anyone here or on any other site. I am done with you Peter, the facts speak for themselves.

We agreed on a $2,900 price (SHIPPED). How is $2,995 PLUS SHIPPING cheaper? How can you not understand that $2,900 shipped is CHEAPER than $2,995 PLUS SHIPPING (especially when you factor in Canada shipping prices)? If you factor in shipping, $2995 turns into $3150 or MORE!!!!

FACTS ARE:

1. You and I agreed on a price, I posted the wheels were sold

2. You inferred that I ripped you off on a public board without even contacting me first

3. You then decide to tell me on a public internet board that our deal is all of a sudden off without even having the respect to contact me over the phone

4. You then proceeded to defend your position by posting inaccurate information to support your inaccurate claim that you could get them cheaper new.

5. Now, you are calling me names and turning this into a internet battle. I will not stoop to your level on this and call you names back. I think you have done a good job of showing us all that you are not only immature but also someone who cannot be trusted. I feel like I bent over backwards and came OFF my asking price to accomodate you b/c you were "getting married and were tight on money". Thanks but no thanks, please do not respond on my thread again and do not contact me about wheels again.

If you have these types of aggressive/angry feelings towards me then by all means I PERSONALLY invite you to RSI V-10 Challenge / TX2K6 Supra Nationals in March in Houston, TX. This will be the biggest get together in the world for Supra and Vipers including road racing, dyno, cruise, group dinner and drag racing. I am the organizer/coordinator and I invite you to my event, I invite you to come talk to me in this manner in person, it's VERY easy to be this brave over the computer...

I just keep waiting for the punch line. Surely, this is some elaborate ploy by Peter to keep his wheel thread at the top of the forum.

Having known and known of Peter B. for a VERY LONG time, and having been witness to most all of the cars/products he has owned or sold, I have yet to see anyone impune his credibility.

If someone doesn't like the price of the wheels, don't buy them. If you like the price, buy them. If you're close on price, negotiate. I've paid close to retail price for something so I didn't have to wait for it. $300 is $300. Plus, some people have more money than time. I gladly paid nearly full retail for a slightly item for my Supra because the backorder was over 6 months.

Seems like kind of a waste of 2 pages of bandwidth just to argue about a sale that didn't take place.

Just my $.02.

Good luck with the sale Peter. I'm sure they are flawless and someone will pick them up, save a few bucks, and both buyer and seller will walk away happy.

Here's my thoughts on the matter. I have known Peter for a long time (about 6 years) and in fact we used to not get along (nothing to do with buying or selling parts) so I feel I can objectively comment on this. I have never bought any parts from Peter nor sold any to him, but know many people that have, all very satisfied. If Peter says something he is selling is in X shape, then it is in that shape or even BETTER shape, guaranteed.

As far as price, $2900 INCLUDING shipping will always be (this cannot be denied) less than $2995+ shipping. There's nothing wrong with wanting to spend $300 more to get brand new stuff. But coming here and insulting Peter because someone changed their mind is not the way to handle the situation.

Hey, the last thing I want to do is start another fight with someone. I realize you wrote your post because you know this guy and you don't know me. He started insulting me first.

He is asking 3000 for his rims, not 2900, I don't know why people can't get that, I know he is including shipping, that wasn't my point.

He raised his price 50 bucks at the end, after we agreed. It is not the 50 bucks, it was just a slimy thing to do. This guy has been snotty all through this thread, I can't keep arguing with a bunch of people, but hopefully someone will see where I'm coming from.

I didn't change my mind, the deal was changed, please try and understand despite what was said by Peter, I am not coming on here to insult the man, I'm not a bad guy, he just got under my skin by questioning my integrity, and I'm going to stand up for myself.

I came off my $3,000 price to help you out "b/c you are tight and could use the funds for the marriage." I agreed to $2,850 shipped but was under the impression that you lived in the U.S. After you told me that you lived in Canada and we priced the shipping on the computer with Fedex I told you that I would do $2,900 shipped to Canada. I told you to do some research, find out what they cost new, find out how much it would be to ship to Canada for a new set, and let me know. The ONLY agreed upon price was $2,900 PERIOD. The $3,000 was the starting point of our negotiation... Next thing I know you are inferring that I was trying to rip you off on the board, cursing me, threatening me, etc... I encourage you to do so, keep posting on my thread please to keep it at the top!

To the others that know me and that have stepped up to the plate for me, thank you, you all know that I am a VERY fair person that is very open to not only negotiation but also to honor. At the end of the day, all is good, i'm glad I did not have to deal with Jeff... was a bit insulting and things went downhill from there. It probably would have been better to just have emailed Peter and explaning that you rather pay a few hundred dollars more for brand new wheels. Knowing Peter I'm sure he would have been ok with that.
