Someone step up to the plate for the Gen 1 players with a kit for us!I know their are some that made their own setup, but the rest of us would really like the option the Gen 2's have of buying a kit!May be if I say "PLEASE!!!!!

GRC, the only question in my mind about doing a kit for the Gen 1 is the demand and also the cost.
It takes the same R&D to make one for Gen 1,2 or 3 to make a nice system.
I do not know how many guys are really serious about doing a Gen 1 TT.
The second thing I am not sure about is the pricing.
The Gen 1 is the least expensive of Viper in terms of the price for which one can be purchased.
A decent intercooled TT system would have to cost at least 12-15K.
I think this cost as compared to the purchase price is prohibitive to most owners.
That's why the Roe blower is an awesome setup for the Gen 1. Sean did it right!
Compare the cost of a 20 or even 30K TT system to that of a new SRT/10 and you will see this ratio is much more favorable to high volume sales.
I wanted to do a front mount turbo system for Marty B, but it was not possible without modifying 1/2 the car.
A footwell system would not be that bad to make but the # of people interested would have to be enough to make it worthwhile to do the R&D!
Get me 15 or more serious buyers willing to give me deposits and I will make a Gen 1 TT kit! :thumb:
Start talking specs and I might be in. One thing that I would need to know is how much you would need to butcher the car/frame to make it work. The biggest thing that has kept me from the blower is I have not yet heard of a way to get over 500hp out of the side pipes without becoming obnoxiously loud. The turbos would most likely solve that problem so it would be a huge +. Would the heads need work automatically? Keep it around 12-15K tested and tuned with no extra stuff needed and I would probably lay awake at night until I cut the check. There has to be a dozen guys out there who would buy today. I'm listening.
I have the Roe s/c, with stock exhaust manifold and Sean's 3" exhaust, not crazy loud, but fun. I get some nice flames on decel, which scare the shit out of young kids and old ladies alike, it's a blast. I currently have Sean's 6.5# pulley, and am making about 504rwhp and 575wtq. I am sure a twin turbo system would be quieter, but like Paolo said, we looked at my car, and to do a front mount twin turbo system for a Gen 1, there would be some pretty extensive work to the car. I have no doubt that PC could design an awesome Gen 1 TT setup, in fact I know that he can, but I don't know that a bunch of Gen 1
I don't know that many Gen 1 guys would step up to invest 12-15K into their Gen 1 cars. I love my Roe s/c, and I am going to be looking for a nice Gen 2 for the Monster Performance TT set up in the future!
I guess what I'm looking at is headers are about $1,700 and something decent behind them is going to cost another maybe $500, Roe + Meth is about $8,000. So I'm going to be over 10K and it will still be louder than I want. Plus I hate to scrap the factory intake, it's cool to look at. The Roe would still be a blast on the street, just like the looks/sound and bragging rights of a TT set up.
you may be right!! I can now focus on my keyboard, but my head is pounding like a mofo and the stomach is a bit uneasy. thank god it's saturday.
carguy07,
I do not have headers, just the factory exhaust manifolds. I do agree with you on the TT sound. I was in the Monster Performace car, and it sounds like a jet once those babies spool.
Larry Macedo@ M2 in Orlando Florida has built one and it is running like a champ. It can be seen at Norwalk all weekend long. No need to wait for R&D because it is already done and the frame is not cut up at all :thumb: So everyone quite talking about it and send the man your deposit so you can be part of the TT Club!

Will this car be in Stains estate after you kill him?
