2004 SRT-10: ABS Question

I picked up a new Viper about a month ago, and got into a pretty intense spin-out just last week. I was only doing about 50 when I tapped on the brakes going into a gentle curve. I'm a pretty experienced driver, so I know I didn't accidentally drop into 2nd or anything stupid. And I swear I wasn't using the E-brake. But here's the thing: the car left like 100' of two locked-tire skids, and now I'm awfully spooked. You guys think something might be fishy about the ABS? Or the tires locking up? Hear of anything similar going on in other 04's? I've been reading around various sources, and some owners say that sloshing engine oil can lead to the engine seizing up. Gah, any ideas?

Thanks!

I have an 03. The ABS actually kicks in way to soon. If you brake slightly hard the abs will assist early and the car will continue moving forward even when there is traction. The only time you can lock the rear tires for an extended amount of time if when you downshift to 1st at a high enough speed and the gear box actually stop the rear tires and the card will glide for a while.

Differential! The stock units in the SRT's are real bad and have a tendancy to take a shit at inopportune moments.

I would get the diff looked at; random lockup at speed sounds just like the symptoms of a rear end on it's way out.

That or the piston somehow seized inside the caliper while it was up against the rotor. Those are my best guesses.
