Re: New Viper Classified: NICE 1994 GEN I RT/10 WITH EXTRAS
I've been looking at buying a viper for few weeks now. My budget is around 30k and from what i can see, will most likely get me a 1g. Can anyone tell me the pro's and con's of the viper in this add? It has 54,000 miles and from all the searches i've done, that's pretty dang high! Would it be worth it to pay the $33k asking price for this? I know it has extras that come with it, but would this make the price stay right along side a 20k mile of the same year? Some of you guys might even know the guy that used to own this car. Guess he used to be a member of viper america club (i think that's what it's called). If you were a first time buyer, would you pay this much for one?

I would if it's coming from somebody known to this board. Mike robbins is well known. The car has a lot of extras, but if you really think about it, 50K miles is really nothing, just breaking the engine in at this point. I would ask if the head gaskets had been replaced(known issue with the gen I's). If so, go for it :thumb:

Arrow rebuild 28,000 miles ago.
I wouldn't think twice about the mileage unless you're looking for a garage queen.

Arrow is company contracted by Dodge to do all of the warranty rebuilds on Viper motors with problems. If they've done it, you can be confident it was done right and there's even a good chance the motor came back stronger than when the car was stock.

You can always sell the aftermarket rims and hardtop and get $3k back, that way you are into the car at your target $$ amount. Or you can ask Mike if he would be willing to take off that 3k for those parts. GL either way, looks like a good deal.

I saw this car yesterday. It looks pretty darn good......those wheels are muuuuch better than gen1 wheels. There are a few small rock chips as to be expected but overall I was impressed. FWIW my 96 had an Arrow rebuild at 25,000 and I now have 67,000 on it.....some hard at 700+ rwhp.
