Finally pulled the tranny and figured out what 1,100+ foot lbs did to it. Looks like most of the teeth on the two gears where my input shaft meshes with the countershaft were reduced to small metal shards. Input shaft:

Yeah, that seems to be the universal consensus. Not cheap, but it would really suck to use stock replacement parts and trash it again soon.
Question: Assuming I go the G-force route, does it really matter whether I have them install their parts as opposed to having someone local do it (assuming the local person is very competent and has rebuilt Viper T-56's before)? I'd like to avoid the hassle and expense of having to ship the tranny if possible.

I just trashed my t-56 in my TT WS6 and had to break down and buy something that would hold.
My advice would to have g-force assemble it as well. They tear it down to nothing, and blueprint the entire tranny. The "expense" of shipping a t-56 is not that "expensive" in the grand scheme of things when you are talking about a 4k+ g-force t-56. Just poney up the dough and have them do it, it will overall save you more of the "hassle" you were talking about.
These trannys are very strong, but can be as weak as a rusty nail if not setup properly. I've done a great deal of research among Liberty, Rockland Gear, D&D, and G-Force, and the longevity of the tranny boils down to being properly setup, and having the right tolerances in place. Preparation is key when you are running this much power.

They only charge $400 labor to do a rebuild with their parts in your core; do you think blueprinting is included in that?
