Has anyone here just drilled some small holes on the black plastic part? Instead of spending money and buying this vent???? Thanks again

No way, if it's not made of Inconel there is no way it will cool effectively. How could you expect a free fix work like the $500 fix? That's just ludicrous.

Damn I bought some SS 1/8" mesh from the metal place and some rivits, and rivit washers and did my own for about 8$.

Drilling holes in the plastic would be the easiest cheapest way to do it. It would be as effective as that DC piece.
