That's right, you fuckers, here is your chance to show everyone what a bad mo fo you are. I'm tired of this pathetic keyboard racing. Put up or shut the FUCK up.
I'm organizing a race on Friday November 18th at Atco Raceway. Here are the particulars:
1. Minimum weight (car and driver) 3,000 lbs.
2. Must have oem VIN (no panel cars or tube chassis cars)
3. Heads-up format on a Pro tree; first to the finish line wins. No dial-in or breakouts but reaction times and red lights count.
4. Open to any generation Viper or Corvette.
Entry fee is $500. The payout based on a 16 car field is as follows:
1st place: $3,000
2nd place: $2,000
3rd place: $1,000
This event will take place during a ***private rental*** so the field is open to only 16 cars. No noise restrictions (private rental). The entry fee includes the cost of the rental (approximately $2,000 with full lane prep). If any of you raced at Atco, you know the track prep is usually second to none.
I have 6 Corvettes committed already. Once the car field exceeds 10, I'm going to ask certain shops for sponsorship money so either the entry fee will be reduced, the payouts will increase, I'll make more prizes (low qualifier, best r/t, etc.), or I'll create more money rounds. Every dime will go to the payouts, food, etc.
The reason why I chose to call this event "No Tears No Excuses" is because there's entirely too much fucking whining and keyboard racing in both, the Viper and the Corvette, communities. And since I race both cars, I felt obligated to put an end to this bullshit.
So, if you feel like you got some balls, a quick car, and $500 then let me know you're coming. Otherwise, watch from the stands or read about it on the forums but DO NOT come here bitching about running against solid rear or automatic cars. You either have a car that can compete in this program (in which case I highly recommend you enter) or you don't (in which case FUCK OFF :fist. Those are the rules.
Just so everyone knows, the Vettes that have signed up so far range from low 9s to mid-8 second cars. Again, you know what you're up against so don't come bitching that the format isn't fair to your setup. If it isn't, don't race.
Just want to leave everyone with one thought...... Anything can happen in racing. In the last two races I lost to a mid-10 second Impala and I won a race where the low qualifier ran an 8.7X. You gotta have some balls, determination, dedication, and a little bit of luck and shit sometimes comes together nicely.
I hope some of you decide to come out. I purposely set the date for mid-November at Atco since many a record came from there during that time of the year. Mineshaft air, baby! It's the end of the season and we deserve to blow off some steam. After the race, we can open up the track to test and tune, grudge matches, etc. Ideally, I'd love to have 8 Corvettes and 8 Vipers.

P.S. Atco is close to Atlantic City in case anyone traveling a longer distance wants to make it a weekend deal. If you get your ass handed to you, you can try to make your $500 back in AC.
Hmmmmmmmmmm, the sound of silence. WTF? Chad's the only one with a pair (and I'm not referring to turbos)? For the amount of shit talking that takes place on this forum I would have thought that I'd have at least 4 cars ready to go. I'm perplexed. I give you an opportunity to show off your shit and a decent payout to top it all off and nobody wants to step up to the plate?
I think I've just figured out how to get richer than Krazy. I'm going to become a "full service" tuner. With every Viper that I build, I will include testicular implants FOR FREE!!!
There are possibly 3 Vipers that are capable of 8s. A whole bunch that run low 9s. All I need is 8 cars.
Just imagine if you win...... they'll be posting about you for years
