Everyone running strong in the quarter, especially those in the low nine and 150 plus range, please take safety seriously.
You should wear a minimum of proper suit, helmet, collar and gloves.
Your car should be completely checked out and include belts, CAGE, loops and quality covers and equipment throughout. A chute is not a bad idea.
Don't kid yourselves, this can be dangerous and we as a group have been very lucky thus far.
I will not line up against any car and driver that does not take safety seriously.
Roof, I will race you without if you choose not to be safe but only once. That is the only car at the only race I will line up against a flagrantly unsafe competitor. David, I sincerely hope you show up with the proper safety equipment in that new beast of yours. A roll bar at 160+ is ludicrous.
To be fair, I have no idea what kind of safety equipment David has and maybe he has more than me. If so, good for you.
Everyone, please be safe out there as we are really starting to push the envelope.

Let me make sure you understand, I will never be unsafe at anything :thumb: It is simply not worth it :thumb: I am only 30 years old and have a beautiful family that I love dearly this will never be taken for granted.
I have all available safety equipment for my car, at this time there is not a full cage but a design is in development and hopefully will be installed before our race. there is a full roll bar with side bars and 5-point harnesses but we are not satisfied with just that :thumb:
During anypass I have ever made if the car breaks loose I let out and live to do it again, there is no one that will make me change that rule :thumb: if the run is clean I will hammer the entire 1/4 mile.

I appreciate the post it is a valid one that needs to payed attention too. we are so lucky there have been no serious accidents, and I for sure would hate to see one happen!
Chute on the plane is pretty trick. Bet it is one helpless feeling on the way down with the parachute, although much better than the alternate feeling of course.

Actually they say it is a very soft ride equal to be I believe 10 MPH. The Parachute on this type plane has been pulled 5-6 times and No serious injuries or Deaths have occured. it will save your life. (I just read the article and the latest looks like he broke his back, But he lived)
I just hope I never Have to pull the Parachute. Kinda like I hope I dont have to let out of the car when Im racing you :thumb:
Sounds like a cool feature but not something you want to do unless you have to.
Exactly right :thumb:
It is just a way out when there is no other way!
Flying is very safe, (actually depending on the Pilot and his Judgement) If you take it serious even if you do have an unusual occurence you will be just fine
Yes the parachute. How does it work over water. ( can you get out of the plane etc. ) I have always wanted my pilot licence. Can you help with this? When you going to come by M2 and see the demise that awaits you...
I think having a parachute attached to a plane is just going to give a false sense of security. If you can afford to hire a pilot and put him on your payroll then do it. You can fly right seat with him while you build up hours and experience. He can also safely haul around your family and employees for you. Your insurance (plane and life ins.) would also be less expensive.
