Just a quick question about valve cover gaskets.

I've got a set of roller rockers on their way and was wondering about the valve cover gaskets. I've never had my valve covers off, so I was wondering if the gaskets are reusable?
You guys here that are doing allot of tuning are you buying new ones (for I think $100.00 a pair), are you just using gasket maker (silicone) instead or are you using the old gasket with gasket maker?

You can use the old gaskets without gasket maker, no problem.

Yes Lethal, you'll see when they come off, rubber type with bead, no problem to reuse.

Damn...if I would have asked that there would fedex and a host of others would be flaming my ass.

Re: Just a quick question about valve cover gaskets.

I believe you will need to modify the oil baffles in the valve covers for the 1.7 rockers to clear.

Don't remove the baffles completely.
