Serious tech question.

Has anyone had experience or heard of a similar problem?

I recently swapped out the VEC 2 for an AEM unit on my 99, re-mounted the map sensor in another location for easy access, and put on larger bipass lines for the blower. Got everything together, went to start the car and while it will crank, it will not turn over and run. AEM's software showed no rpm pickup, so I figured the crank sensor took a shit and replace it. Still no rpm pick up...All fuses, wiring, and connections seem fine and tested with a volt meter. Anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

Cam sensor? Verify all of the AEM connections, you may have tapped into the wrong wire for the AEMs rpm signal wire.

There is no tap for the rpm signal to the AEM. It picks it up through the stock wiring harness. Check the wire you had tapped with the quick connectors for the VEC2. Perhaps the quick taps damaged the wire.

Re: Serious tech question.

The answer!!!

Turns out it had nothing to do with the AEM or the car itself really. The organ grinders monkey that had and worked on the car before me use some shitty cut in in the wiring harness and fucked some of the wires up. Cars running and ready to tune...
