Help! Airbox removal!
The two large ribbed knobs on the top front end of the airbox, do they twist off counterclockwise? Mine are stripped and what should have been a ten minute project is taking much too long. Do these twist off or is there another way to remove the airbox? Thanks!

Normal righty-tighty-lefty-loosey. Are you stuck putting it back on...or still trying to get it off?

I'll be merciful, as I have made the same mistake. The title says "Help! Airbox removal!"
There is a third retaining bolt, have you loosened it?

Retaining bolt taken care of, still trying to get the top ones off. They both move about 45 degrees in each direction and then stop completely.

Ah, come on John....he specified the top two jobbers on top.
Ray....they do not come all the way out, if I recall correctly. They just lossen up and then are held there with retainers....I think. Let me carry my lazy, OLD ass downstairs to confirm.......

The two knobs on the top of this box, located near bottom of this photo, just keep turning counterclockwise? Just making sure before I break them because they aren't budging. [image]http://i15.ebayimg.com/03/i/04/5e/36/6e_3.JPG[/image]
