I know it's kind of a dumb show, but did anyone see it last night? They re-upholstered the inside of a SRT-10, so the "big" owner could fit comfortably...they took it for a test drive and he goosed up over the curb and slid into the grass...it looked worse than it turned out to be, just a little curb rash on the back right tire.
Yes, I saw that last night. Was good to see an owner drive it like it should be driven, except for the spinning out thing. He was just lucky there wasn't a light post or other car where he spun out.
He sure was a big guy though to be fitting in the car!
I watched the end of Pinks and was really disappointed with it. I had high hopes for it but just thought it was very unorganized and kind of a mess.
I guess that's 'street racing' but it just seemed like there is no way to have a 'fair race'.
The first guy I saw looked like he sandbagged it a bit and sacrificed the first win in order to get a head start on the second. Then with giving up the head start, the second guy sandbagged it a bit in order to get to use nitrous on the last race, and yet he knew with his 250 shot of nitrous that it would be no contest, which it wasn't.
I guess that's the idea? If so, then I missed the point in the promos.
I thought it was supposed to be about which is the better car/driver combo but as it turns out, it was who is the best rat bastard liar. If that's the point then that's my mistake.
1. Pinks Sucked. I expected more of a show. The promos were there just the show didn't show up. No real payoff at the end of the show. A real Bah! kind of finish.
2. What was Silver SRT-10 Owner Mike thinking!? Those seats were Cherry and he cuts them to sit like a BarcoLounger! a Lazy Boy! Granted the guy was a BIG guy but... ARRRGH!! He shouldn'ta done that! I watch the show occasionally to keep up on the latest of what I'd never do to a car, but at least I'm up to date with my popcorn maker headrests. I GOTS BLING YO! It was funny even the seat customizer did a double take when he was requested to cut the seats up. Lastly, while it was nice to see the guy get on the car, he truly didn't understand how powerful that 2003 SRT-10 really is. I just have one question, "Why didn't the Gen III owner try to put Gen II seats in his car and solve his problem that way?
I'd have to agree...Pinks was horrible...that T/A never had a chance in hell at beating that Camaro...It was good to see the owner drive it like it was meant to be driven, also love how they bashed Chet for not doing DJ Envy's car properly, I couldnt work with fuckers like that, totally selling out their co-worker b/c he messed up two wires...fuck that, just say he goofed and settle it behind closed doors, definitely not in front of a customer
What the fuck is this? Another one of those boring as hell "Pimp My Ricer" shows that have unfortunately proliferated throughout cable television? I think I can find a better way to waste a half-hour of my life than watching some no-talent retards armed with stickers and in-dash PS2 systems ruin another halfway-decent car with their tasteless "mods."
Hopefully they remembered it is a Viper and did not refer to it as a Honda on the show.

Yep, and it's run by some asshole who I'm sure is related to YOTONY in some way shape or form.
The last Unique Whips episode I watched had so many things, information-wise, that was wrong I couldn't believe it. The episode I was referring to was the one with the SL500 & CLS500. They stated the SL500 was a 2002, when the car had to be a 2003+ with the R230 body style on it. They also stated a CLS500 was a "$100K car", which isn't even close (even with every single option available).
The other point was they stated a Lorinser Body Kit costs $20,000.00. My guess is they were ripping the customer off for more then $15,000.00 over the actual purchasing cost of the kit. They are easily found for $6000.00 all over the place.
I guess you can do that to people who don't care about money. That's why all these "bling-bling" shops do so well. The customer base is made of people who just want the shit done and don't really care about costs.
UNIQUE WHIPS is a bunch of hacks that landed a gravy job by doing a couple of high profile clients cars. They suck and they were in a shithole shack two years ago. I cant believe the luck Castro has landing his own show. But I cant hate the player, hate the game I guess. I would love for one of my stores to be able to showcase our talents on a show like that. We would make their work look like preschool material.

On that same show one of the guys said something about the 19" tires on the 20" wheels or something like that....I was laughing my ass off....
