Anyone try Energy poly Transmission Mounts

I think i broke my tranny mount again - after only 2 months - and now want to try the Energy poly mounts. Anyone have experience with it? I heard it may cause some vibration and or noise.

Thank you

We just installed one on Viper Spray's car. I'll let him post up what he thinks.

I've had one for so long, I can't remember the difference without it. I believe it was the first mod after 5 points and K&Ns.

Mine works great , it really seems to shift better and does not torque the shifter under power anymore. Also much stronger than the stocker. If you need the part # let me know. spray.......

Re: Anyone try Energy poly Transmission Mounts

OK , here is the post that the VCA member posted,I saved it because it had the part #. spray........----------------- O.K. guys, after my first Viper Days event, had the Viper on the lift, servicing the tranny, noticed the stock tranny mount was broken. You know, the rubber was destroyed! Got a new one at the Dodge house. Man, what a weak design, basically a rubber isolator, prone to breaking! Noticed it was very similar to the garden variety mount GM used on Oh, about 10 gazillion vehilces.
So I got a Energy Suspension Performance Polyurethane transmission mount for a GM. Fits perfect - a straight bolt in! Raised my B&M Short shifter with MGW Viper ball approx. 3/4", the Dodge mount had collapsed. 2 weeks ago at the Viper Days World Finals, no missed shifts, and with the ball up slightly, it is actually easier to shift, along with the RedLine tranny fluid.
So, next time you a rattling tranny, or feel your shifter moving around as you lay down the torque, install the Energy Suspension Poly Trans. mount #3.1108G

Re: Anyone try Energy poly Transmission Mounts

Viper Spray - thanks for the feedback. I will get it installed next week. I presume you have not noticed any negative effects of having a more stiff mount? Such as vibration etc? As for the part number, mine says 3.1108GC - I wonder if the C makes a difference???

Thanks again

Re: Anyone try Energy poly Transmission Mounts

Sorry to pester you guys but for those who have installed poly tranny mounts, did you end up using the metal spacer that came with the kit? I was told that it is not required and that I should be more concerned with proper height.

DO NOT USE THE SPACER! You tranny will be an extra foor high-lol.

I installed the poly trans and motor mounts, but now I have vibration and for a driver, I don't like it as much as stock mounts.

Arise From The Dead!!

Anyway...I have all poly mounts, and the car is more responsive and these should last a helluva lot longer than the stock crap

I also had the same problem, broken trans mount so I replaced it with an energy mount from jeg's and hated it, lots of vibration at idle, went back to the stock mount and love it!!!! I think I broke the stock mount showing off, doing 55 mph burn outs next to those new gt mustangs, what fun that was!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the poly motor mounts and tranny mount. Definitely feel a slight vibration increase from my stock ones. The most dramatic different is around 5-6k. Besides that, I like the more aggressive idle (shaking), the car shakes with the 708

I am going to check and see if my mount is pushing my trans a hair too high and hitting the tunnel and causing the vibration.
