The viper flat out kicks the daylights out of the vette, and these two blimey dingbats still manage to find fault with one of the most awesome cars on the road.. How??? I mean How??? Can you imagine if the car was built like they thought it should be?? It'd probably be in contention for the Indy 500 right out of the box. What a couple of vette lover morons. That's okay... I'd rather be a vette hater and beat it all day long feeling that way then not be a viper owner wishing I could beat one. Hahahahahaahahaha!! NO offense but comon... give me a break with these guys!!! The viper kicked the vette's ass all around. PERIOD!! Boy.. I guess jealousy is blinding like the viper's speed. These guys needed some Viagra.
What a couple of limey whiners!! These clowns could never afford these cars even if they have the money. In fact, these bitches would look at a beautiful day at the beach and complain of the possibility of sun burn!
I believe the quote "The Viper may win the race, but we could never recommend it" kinda sums up what idiots we're dealing with. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the sportscar world, isnt winning everything??
Watch the video again, particularly when they are "racing". Both of them lose it at every corner. Neither asshole can drive. Also, when is handling measured by how easy it is to "powerslide" a car. Can hear it now, Craig telling VAgina that his plastic Dodge can handle better than her claptrap Kia cause it can "powerslide".
While I don't agree with their review, do you even know who the drivers are? Tiff Needell is a retired F1 driver and Jason Plato was the British Touring Car Champ for a few years running.
Vipers have ALWAYS been a very difficult car to drive to their limits. However, when you can, the performance is utterly dominant. It just goes to prove they aren't for everyone. And just because you have one, doesn't mean you can drive one.
That has got to be one of the worse car reviews ever. You can't tell me that the SRT is nothing but rubbish when it kicks the Vette in all areas except price. I personally think that they are embarrassed about their driving and are blaming the cars for their own shitty performance! Arrogant asses!!
What kind of a 'comparison' is it though when you have one driver in one car and the other in another car?
Sure, the one guy 'powerslides' the Vette better than the other guy 'powerslides' the Viper, but perhaps when you switch cars, the results would be reversed?
Oh well, 'journalism' is just one persons opinion that happens to be published. Doesn't make it any more valid than another persons opinion.
boy i really stirred up a hornets nest here. i think when such a glaring paradox exists as in this video, it does cause many of us to get annoyed. i think in retrospect... the one driver in the viper (regardless of who he is) should have sat back and taken a better look at the video, and realized just how asinine his comments were based on the overall performance of the viper. what's funny is how easily it beat the vette too, all supposedly with a lousy gear box, a poor power-slide, and inadequate breaking. not to pick on chevy, but... i guess that doesn't say too much for the vette. I agree... i think perhaps there was a little denial going on, and justifiably so... the viper is the best performance production car alive for the money. any disagree-ers??
This will sum it all up; they are British. The Brits will never admit that a car built in a country that they've been to war with can hold a candle to the latest Jag or Aston.
When Top Gear reviewed the C6 Vette, Jeremy Clarkson compared the suspension to that of a Vietnamese horse drawn wagon.

I agree with Craig. Stock for stock it is a better machine, BUT, the Viper will have more potential for the avid modder. More cubes, less compression..etc..etc
Those clowns don't have a clue. It was fun to see the two cars flying around the track though... I watched it a second time and turned off the volume :thumb:
