has anyone upgraded the door speakers in an srt

the stock ones suck so i tried to buy some focals because i was told they are the best in the biz. the 2 problems with the focals are that they are made in france and the 6.5 is bigger that the stock 6.5 and wont fit. what should i get that fits without modification to the door or the rest of the stock stereo?

the polks people are using on the morg seem to be crapping out damn fast

yeah, those are the speakers that explode after 6 months. he also has them wired backwards.

a monkey could figure out the install but finding a nice speaker that flows with the rest of the factory system is the pain in the ass

I did the install on my 04. I am pleased with the quality of the speakers, and so far they have been ok. The only component of the system that I really would like to change would have to be the stock sub woofer in between the driver and passenger seats.

I tried about a dozen speakers today and came home with the polks. they are the only ones that fit without cutting and/or sticking too far out of the door
