Polished or Chrome???
Want to get wheels and can't decide. Polished with clearcoat, or chrome. Are a lot of people having trouble with the chrome?

Re: Polished or Chrome???
Polish with clear is clearly the better choice. With the chrome, you are losing some of the strength in the wheel, or so i've heard. Also, if you ever happen to curb a chromed wheel, it's not easy to repair..as compared to a full polished wheel. Either way, i'd say full polish for sure.

Re: Polished or Chrome???
I think a highly polished aluminum wheel looks the best on a performance car.
But chrome looks awesome too and is easy to clean.

Re: Polished or Chrome???
I prefer polish, no clearcoat. Some say it is a PITA, but I have polished my 847's 2 times in the last 2 years and they look great. I also like the fact that if you get a little scratch or ding, you can buff it out if you have the right stuff. My

Re: Polished or Chrome???
Chrome looks good but it does add a little more weight to the wheel. If you are going to have your wheels plated make sure it is done by a chrome shop that specializes in plating wheels and aluminum. This place did my Vette rims and my Viper rims
http://www.calchrome.com/ 2 years ago and I have no complaints at all.
