What is the worst part of building a motor......

Waiting for all the parts to get here. Here is the latest.

Greg is making progress with the heads, the coating are done. The short-block should arrive next week. I placed the order for the new oil/water pumps oil baffle. And a host of other stuff like the entire engine gasket kit, plugs wires head blots...you get the idea.

I'm going for a conservative 500rwhp/550rwtq. This is still with the stock intake and exhaust systems. With P&P intake mani, full exhaust, 70mmTB. I should be at a conservative 600rwhp/620rwtq. And be running 10's...ALL MOTOR!

Anyone know where I can get a PCM reprogrammed. I've talked to a few tuners but most want about 2 months to get it done. This just isn't acceptable. I don't want to drive around with a check engine light on due to my cam being too lumpy Anyone got some ideas. Other than unplugging the check engine light. (I know someone will say it.)

Here is a pic of what I found in the oil pan when I removed it.

Who's doing your short block work? Did you order the internals and send them to the builder or are they providing it as a package?

Are you using stock parts or have you upgraded rods, pistons, ect.

good luck on the remainder of the build

Are you sticking with stock cubes?

Since you are going thru the whole motor, might as well go to a 510.

Don't need to worry about it. I've got a new and improved oil cooler and brand new lines just waiting for me to install.
