With the recent advance in technologies associated with getting RWHP out of the Viper, how many of you with the heavily modded cars feel qualified to run them full out on the track? There's no shame in having to learn to do something you haven't done before but I am concerned that some might be jumping into 1000+RWHP cars without proper experience and or safety equipment.

Hmmmm......I dunno, ask CHAD. He went from a blower car to driving 9.0's @ 166ish his first time out on the setup with just a rollbar.

Yeah but he's Chad.

As for the loaded question, it's a good one. One that most should but won't ask themselves. I guess that makes Brian one of the smart ones.

I believe that The Chad did have some formal drag racing school prior to the TT. Now that I've seen some of these cars run, holy shit. I was just thinking of the guy in the Porsche that was killed a couple days ago. Wouldn't like to see it in the Viper community. It's a bitch when your nuts are bigger than your brain. The Porsche guy had an infant daughter and everything to live for as do some in the Viper community in similar circumstances.

The point is, he was racing when he died. Racing is a risk, no matter how you cut it. Even if he was in a 300hp car he could have killed himself just as easily. It is very sad that this happened, but he most likely knew what the risks were before he went out on that track. Tragedy can strike at any moment, to anyone....even the most experienced and veteraned racers.

Don't get me wrong though, your question is a good one.
