Hi Everyone,
I've called myself "ViperMan" for over 12 years now, and I just finally got around to logging on to a Viper Enthusiasts page.
I've been a Viper fan since 1993, ridden in a few, met Mr. Skip Thomas, been to Viper Days events, the whole shu-bang. Now if I could just get one...
Well I don't have one, but I've got an interesting project goin' on. I recently took a career change and am now a technician/fabricator/assistant admin for a restorations shop near Allentown, PA.
I've been working on a project with my dad to kinda "kick off" my career change - we're doing a "model car show," both of us building identical models of a 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner. Dad thinks it's a battle of the coolest paint job. He doesn't know what I have in store.
My '70 Roadrunner has been carefully transplanted with a (model) engine from a mid 90's Viper RT/10 motor. I'm also trying to integrate the viper front and rear suspension and tires.
The last thing I'd like to do to complete this theme is to paint my model with authentic Viper Blue paint (with white skunk stripes of course) from a 1997 Viper GTS. However, there are only 4 cans of this paint sitting at dealerships across the entire country, and they're $50 a can.
I'm putting a shout-out to see if anyone has a can sitting around, even if it's half-empty (I'm only painting a 1/24th scale model) that would be willing to sell it for a reasonable price. If anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Reply or email if you can help. Thanks.
