Temp gauge stuck

My temp gauge is stuck on 250 as soon as I turn the key on it goes over to 250 and stays until I turn off key. Any body have the sending unit or gauge go out. Thanks

happened on my viper... change out the sensor, its by the intake. Pretty easy to change aswell

Mine just did that lastnite as well. Is this expensive and should I expect my local dodge dealer to have one instock?
