I have a 1970 Barracuda convertible lined up. It already has a 440 6-bbl. in it. So, I'm going to invest some time and money into finishing that car up.
I am selling my home (which has a 6-car garage), and will not have the room for all the vehicles. I'll probably have to rent spots somewhere 'til I get to my final destination. I will probably try to get a Gen II down the line. I may try a GTS next time. I do know that I will miss driving a Viper. It's one of the most enjoyable cars I've ever driven.
I forgot to mention that I may take the 400 6-bbl. out and put a Viper V-10 in it. Nothing like the output of a HEMI with the weight of a steel smallblock for handling.
No, the car is a Barracuda, not a 'Cuda. It started out a 318 on the column. I plan to update all mechanicals to supercar standards. Though I will try to keep it 100% original in outer appearance where possible.
Forgot to mention that it's currently yellow. I'll probably end up painting it In-Violet. Nothing like a purple 'Cuda ragtop with the white leather interior.
I agree on missing the Viper, but I think a year or two off will make me appreciate my next Viper more than if I were to just change now. Truth is, I will not have much time to enjoy her this Summer. So, it would be the best time to go without.
