Does CHAD's car have all that stereo stuff in it even when he goes to drag events?
That ET and trap speed are amazing on pump gas, and it's even more amazing when you consider the 'most streetable 8 second car'.
Looks like the prediction of a 7 second pass hasn't come true and the humble (cough cough) prediction of a PGD win didn't come true either. The car is no doubt fast -- but there are obviously street cars out there just as quick - and quicker.
You of all people, I wouldn't expect to fall for Carrots Love for Paolo. Crockett's immature take that it was Paolo doesn't meet the following criteria.
Lets start:
1. The snide remarks by this douchebag are neither technical nor longwinded.
2. Any I repeat ANY post by Paolo starts at a MINIUM of 5000 Words or more.
3. Paolo usually will include mathematics that'll make everyone's head spin and then calculate it for them.
4. Homer?? Paolo can't even post pictures. You think he could figure out creating an AE?
5.This Thread is a celebration of Jason and his Amazing Abilities! Let celebrate his victory and plan to see him walk the competition next year.
6. Carrot, GROW UP and stop your stupid posts against Paolo. You might actually learn something.
7. Gary, Thanks for your time.
Roof hit the nail on the head, Chads car had the lowest et and most mph, however driver error cost the title. This is no knock on the driver but if he repeated the 8.60 with another 8 second run they had the prize. The car and Heffner team is just plain awesome, the fastest car doesn't always win you need luck on your side also. Again they had the car to beat and it showed, maybe next time the stars will shine on them. My best wishes go out to a terrfic team..
Those turned out good! What happened to the rest of them, Joseph?
The cars were definitely insane. The crowd really liked the viper. They went nuts when it clicked off the 8.62 @ 166 pass. Anyways, I was just excited that I got to go, but I definitely had a great time. I didn't scare you while I got to fly, did I? Tony needs to make me a deal on that plane...
You're a fierce competitor :thumb: They break your balls for being a little guy but that's what makes it so cool the pics look like a kid stole his Dads Viper took it to the track Friday night.........and kicked everybody’s ass :thumb: Did you lite the wick at the end and reel it in closer? Same boost in all the runs Since this is a test of consistency and economy, would you have pushed it greater in all 3 runs, knowing what you know now? Many ran out of gas. How was your fuel situation at the end? Most street able 8sec award Was there any other turbo engines there or was it mainly NosCubes. Another KO first from Jason :thumb: Even if you didn't walk in and win it all (I don’t know the official results yet) you are walking out with the ultimate of respect, many awards, ……and most of all your motor didn’t melt together

Makes for a nice report somewhere in Hawaii. Enjoy

Chad's car runs with Full Custom Venzano Interior, Full Custom Stereo, AC, etc. I believe it weighs in at around 3800lbs, at least that number rings a bell.
And if you look at the tires on the other cars, and compare them to Chad's Drag Radials, you will see where others had an advantage.
i don't think chad runs drag radials, pretty sure they are slicks as well
They were drag radials - huge ones. They were 315/60/15 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials.
I think it's very cool that the car went 8.62 with drag radials and pump gas; however, I certainly wouldn't say he was at a disadvantage to hardly anyone at that race with those things. To the individual that made the comment, I guess you were attending also and maybe just didn't look as close, but there were several cars running the exact same drag radial in a 275 width, not 315. In an automatic car, those tires can work just as good and better as the normal ET Streets. There were only maybe 2 or 3 cars there that had bigger tires, one being the old street rod that had the #1 average. However, I'm not sure how familiar you are with the suspension geometry and setup on a car such as that, but it needs a tire like that. They fall more into the category of the "need more tire for better traction" as opposed to adjusting instant center, pinion angle, and so on for more modern cars (namely your typical solid axle car). So, yes, that one had a bigger tire, but it still just bounced it's way down the track.

I wasn't taking anything from the car.
I was was thinking of Drag radials in regards to a BFG type in a typical street form. My apologies if these were drag radials,
I guess if it can get anymore impressive that helps.
Not sure of all the geometry and stuff. I guess you are the expert on that :thumb:

Oh, the part about not being at a disadvantage and the majority of that post was for Casey. I only quoted you for the first part, sorry for the confusion. I was very impressed with the viper. I hope it didn't come off otherwise. I was simply pointing out that his tire selection wasn't such that it placed him as some big underdog. The viper is unique in that it's streetable, quiet, and ahead of the competition by a considerably large margin. I was actually pulling for the viper after finding out that some of the other racers were trying to protest ridiculous things about it. I wanted him to take everything if for no other reason than to spite the other racers.
Congrats Chad and Heffner for the fastest and quickest ET against cars that were most likely lighter with solid rear axles. Way to represent the Viper world! :thumb:

I was not able to attend, so I wasn't able to check things out in person. I assumed that Drag Racials Meant BFGs, as that what I always hear in regards to Drag Radials and Vipers.
It seems as though I was a little off on that one.
you gotta be a tool to not appreciate how damn amazing that viper is,ill let the others beat on you for your idiocy.
mid eights ON PUMPGAS and with a fully streetable car. i agree about the fact that very few of the other cars were in even the loosest of terms streetcar
best et
highest mph
IRS
pumpgas
full dress with even AV and a custom steroe system
