I just got a Roe Supercharger today and was wondering where I should go to have it installed. Is there anyone here that has some experience putting these on? I called SVS and they said they have not installed one before just removed them, but to call back in a week. Any info would be great.
"I called SVS and they said they have not installed one before just removed them"
Hmmmm....them means plural. Removed was what I had done to my roe s/c. 82hp/67tq is all the kit could do for my car, smoked out the exhaust, had a hiccup in the rpm's,melted my hoodpad. GOOD LUCK!
I heard of Roe S/C stories. Anyone else have any trouble with them? Im looking to increase power either by heads/cam etc or forced induction, anyones input would be appreciated thanks
Now I think you actually got your question answered!

Give TOOOFST a call. His shop has moved from that Glenview location though to a much better and bigger facility :thumb: You should be able to still reach him at that number Jay gave out.
Who did the install and tune on your car? What were your numbers before the Roe?

I live in Jacksonville,Fl. so I had Sean Roe do the install and tunes. He had the car 3 or 4 different times in a 4 month period (twice in Oct.2003) to get it right. When I would test drive it each time after he told me,"Try this" it felt better, but after I got down the road a few miles, check engine light would come on(0300,0303,0306 codes) and the car would not feel as strong anymore.
After I had enough(black smoke, misfires, melted hoodpad, weak power), in March 2004 I had Larry Macedo dyno the car before he yanked the roe off(I was present). If I remember correctly (my dyno sheet is in my car file) the car dynoed at Macedo's 526rwhp/550ish rwtq with the Roe. Larry yanked the Roe off and my car dynoed at 444rwhp/483ish rwtq without it. Since then I've added heads, cam, headers, roller rockers, and NOS/Propane for my current #'s.
The car has more power with heads/cam without using the spray than the roe gave it. But the biggest difference of all is now my power on motor is always consistent. It feels the exact same everytime I hit it. With the Roe, heatsoak would kill off the power quick especially down here in the Florida heat.
Plus my new hoodliner looks good, no misfires on cylinders 3 & 6, and no cheap car smoke out the exhaust.
Sorry to hear about the troubles you had. What was Sean's explanation for the issues? I know others have had some minor problems also, but they all seemed to get them sorted out(as far as I know).

No real explanantion given. He did tell me that my 2002 was weak from the factory. Macedo proved that explanation was false. I've heard of some roe s/c cars doing fine out of the box, some have had extensive customer support throughout working on problems as they arise, some have just rebuilt their engines, and some just yank them off like I did and go to plan B.
I got tired and worried(engine) of needing the constant customer support. It's a Viper were talking about and Viper priced so it should have no bugs. I'm use to bolting a Vortech on a car and having it tuned and that's it. You don't see your mechanic again until you tear up something else on the car from abuse or want something else added. Not going back and forth because the s/c is screwing up.
hmm... Where did you go to get heads and cam and which ones did you pick?
If you are referring to my heads/cam pkg., I bought them from Larry Macedo. You can call him and ask him for the details. They are stage 3 CNC from Jeff Moreys(I think that's his name). My car runs good and has a nice lope.
