Exhaust Dilema

I just recently had B&B headers, highflow cats, and b&b catback exhaust installed on my car. From outside the car it sounds amazing!(may be a little loud for the neighbors) But the problem is inside the car. It is so loud inside that you cant talk to the person sitting next to you, or you get a headache after driving for a bit. The drone is very very loud and almost unbearable. Would the sound get quieter inside the car if I switched to another catback system? Maybe corsa...or would just stock mufflers be fine and keep the headers and highflow cat on. I purchased a Roe for the car too so would flow be fine on stock mufflers (with headers, highflow cats)? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Re: Exhaust Dilema

I'm planning on getting B&B headers, high flow cats and a cat back too in a few weeks. I definately don't want it too loud. You may want to check out a Borla CB. I hear the Corsa CB is louder. Does your CB have mufflers?

Re: Exhaust Dilema

I have Bellenger headers, RT cats, and corsa. No drone at all. Very easy to have a conversation. You may want to consider going to the Corsa 3 inch cat back. That should help. Alos check for leaks in the rear, I have seen that cause interior noise as well. Good luck.

Re: Exhaust Dilema

Personal opinion of course, but I orginally started off with a Corsa 3" Catback and while the interior drone/resonance was very low, the actual sound produced was very raspy and higher pitched. I then switched over to the B&B and sound produced outside was a night and day difference, but the drone/resonance inside the car increased dramatically.

I stuck with the B&B, because I personally could not stand the sound of the Corsa outside the car.

Re: Exhaust Dilema

I tried to help ya HOMEEEE.
I've sold several B&B' systems and not a one person is totally happy. There's been exhaust leaks either in the tubes or somewhere in the system.
The best sounding system out there,at least at the top of the list is Balenger with Corsa.Corsa has near zero resonance.

Is there room to put in another small muffler in the sill ??? This will get you where you want/need to be...I promise. It's been proven on several cars with the same problem you have. Cheap too.
