My 2001 Viper GTS - smooth tubes, Roe filters, and Kumhos ran 11.67@120+ with a 1.68 60' launching at 3500rpms.
My 5 previous passes launching at 2000rpms were three 11.8s and two 11.9s all at 120+ and all with 1.8 60's.
My 92 Stang also ran 11.27@124.56 (1.81 60') on Drag radials. Its 1st pass it cut a 1.66 60', but did not get it down the track as well and only ran 11.6@123+. If I would have nailed the 1.66 60' on the 11.2 run I would have had 10s on radials for sure, but I blew a headgasket after the 2nd pass.

Re: Track Rental VID - My 2001 GTS Goes 11.67@120+
Thanks guys!
I am an average driver.
I can't powerhift, I can't ride the clutch out on launch, and I can't do a standing burnout with a manual tranny car.
I do what is comfortable.
I sit close, I do a quick burnout up to the line to clean the tires, I hold the rpms at 2000rpm (3500 on the 11.67) and dump the clutch, as soon as I feel it grab I nail it. I grsnnyshift and keep it straight.
Anyone can do the same.
Oh yeah, great track prep and cool weather helped quite a bit.
Howard

yell03, great job! You're getting me hyped about the next track day. Ending last year I ran an11.79 at around 119 with a 1.95 60 foot on the pilots. @ just had the kumho's put on - 315/30 and 335/30 on rear. hoping to match your 60' foot. When I ran that I was at 455hp/508tq. I added the vec2 and now am at 485/543. @n some areas of the curve I picked up over 50 rear wheel. highly recommend the vec2 for fairly stock vipers.
have you dyno'd the car yet? you must have similar power.

Re: Track Rental VID - My 2001 GTS Goes 11.67@120+
I haven't had the car dyno'd. I was thinking about it, but as long as I have track #s I am OK. I would like to see what kind of dyno #s it puts down justto see how it compares to other Vipers.
If those are rear wheel #s I am no where near that, but at the motor I am probably around the 455/508 due to the tubes and filters.
I'll tell you what, if you ran a 11.79@119 1.95 60' on Pilots, if you nail even a 1.85 60' on Kumhos you will run a 11.59, if you run a 1.8 = 11.49, 1.75 = 11.39, and a 1.7 = 11.29. If you cut a 1.68 you will be solid 11.2s.
I have a 4 year extended warranty on my Viper so I don't want to add any mods that might jeapordize that.
Is the VEC2 easy to install and uninstall by itself???
Good luck,
Howard

Re: Track Rental VID - My 2001 GTS Goes 11.67@120+
I installed the vec2 myself. Everything was fine except i didn't have a secure enough connection for the power to the vec2. So the vec2 would turn on but the car didn't. After figuring that out i simply made a new power connection under the dash and the thing worked great. It's a 2 hour job for your first time. I ended up removing it and reinstalling it and re-install took 15 minutes. I relied on a local shop that does supras to do the tuning. Had a program burned for 93 octane. Still need to make it back for a 100 octane burn. If you are considering the vec2 I'd highly recommend it. It helped smooth out my curve in a few flat spots and added power everywhere, not just at peak.
