I don't think UGR does any of their own motors, though... just tunes them. Steve Petty is da' man when it comes to the motors...

They just do our short blocks:thumb: Heads and intake are done elsewhere.. They have done great work for us and BTW we do a lot more then the tuning Also Steve petty does not assemble our engines. I don't think he works there anymore.

This sounds like what I am looking for!!!
What is the turn around for this type of project and a ball park on pricing?
Does Underground do a turnkey setup? My car has no mods of yet...
Is Kevin the owner of the shop or a mechanic there?
Contact Info?

Looks like the boys at Under Ground Racing are up to their old tricks. I hinted a few months back, just like they did with supercharging, they would soon be dominating the Viper TT world. Now if they only had a decent driver....Later Matt

I live in Tomball, thanks for asking.
Not sure what kind of comment that was supposed to be.
I am going to Kyle this weekend to do some circle track racing
so I won't have time to come by for my ride until middle of next week.
Thanks for all the PM's and emails, didn't realize their was so
many quality shops to choose from...

Congratulations to Underground.
Cannot wait to see it at the track. Oh 2manytoys, the yellow car in not lurking in the back ground. We just won 1st place in a car show. You will see the car at the next event when ever that is. Most likely in the winner's circle ! Cannot wait !!!!
Re: Underground Racing Tuned 1200RWHP Viper TT - Dyno Results / Video
Shank, congrats on getting the car dialed in. :thumb: I have a couple of questions:
1- why is it that the TQ curve makes its peak at 5200 rpms?, All the Viper TTs dynos I've seen before have the TQ peak at 3200-3500 rpms, just wondering why yours is different, and comes in higher.
2- How can you get that kind of power with a VEC II?. It has been posted before that the VEC II can only handle 65 psi injectors.
3- I saw the Video of the street races, looks like the Lexust pulled you on the first race. I don't understand that since your car on pump gas should just walk away from a 800 rwhp I6..
Not a flame, I love your car, and think is BAD ASS.
If you bring it down again, call me and we'll touch gloves..

yellowsatin OUT
Hey severely dyslexic guy, why don't you leave the "yellowsatin OUT" thing OUT? It's annoying, especially when you spell it wrong!

I'll the Underground guys correct me, but I believe the car was spinning on the dyno, so they had a hard time flooring it, I think that's why his TQ comes in a little later, the car has way more in it, just have to get that dyno upgraded a little

Read the first post on this subject and it should answer your qustions We could not get Ryan's car to get traction on the Dyno. Maybe it something to do with the 20s... I don't know. We turned the gains all the way down and the torque still came up to fast. So from there we pulled lots of timing out of the tune to slow it down... We are using 65s in that car. Hope that answered your questions about the car. As far as what the Lexus did I was not there. I know that the driver of the Viper is learning how 2 drive it :thumb:
Ps. if you are ever up this way let me know.. will be glad to touch gloves with you
Re: Underground Racing Tuned 1200RWHP Viper TT - Dyno Results / Video
My car was the filming car for those videos against the lexus (I know slow, but 500rwhp ain't bad unless that is everyone else has 800+rwhp). Shank was starting at least 1 gear off of us in all those races. I didn't know that till the next day, so I too thought something was wierd. But when the Lex and I were in the sweet spots in 2nd gear, shank was is 3rd still hoping for traction and just feeding in the throttle, not even flooring it till 100+mph.
