A RIDE IN THE PC TWIN TURBO

Its not every day you have the opportunity to ride in a Viper TT. Thanks Paolo and congrats...

Its one thing to talk about a car like this but to get in and go for a ride with PC will definitely remind you that yes... you are truly alive.

Paolo, Jimmy, Tom, John, Dennis, PK, and I all hit the streets last night... headed toward the highway and stopped for fuel on the way. After we fueled up, Paolo told me to jump into the TT. Now I have to say that I almost turned him down on the offer just because it was so damn intimidating...

I mean imagine yourself there standing infront of the baddest viper you have EVER seen, with the craziest MF in the world, tellin YOU to get in. Talk about sensory overload!!!

Needless to say... it was impossible to pass up the opportunity for a peak experience like that which was only moments away...

I gave Dennis the keys to my GTS, slithered in thru the roll cage of the PC TT and harnessed in. With the highway only a stoplight away, Paolo broke the silence of the night with a turn of the key. Like a symphony... each car joined in adding its own unique tune to the cool night air.

Leading the group, we eased out of the gas station turned the corner and entered the highway. There was light traffic and it didn't take long to find an open stretch of pavement. My heart rate and pluse rate started going up knowing that it was time... Our first run, PC eased on the gas for a 4th gear roll on... the sound of the turbos sucking in that cold air....the feel of your body being planted into your seat (almost like your falling and reaching for that next breath), seeing the taillights of cars far ahead just racing at you and knowing that that they will never know what just past them (maybe a UFO :thumb And the car never stops pullng... I finally looked around realizing that... damn what happend to the rest of our group!!! Yeah... Fuck Yeah...
With a smooth touch the brakes brought us out of hyperspeed quickly and in total control.
We slowed down to the speed limit (55)to let the group catch up. Two vipers started at and flew past us guessing at around 100... Paolo did a 4th gear roll-on the gas and there we were... PASSING THEM...
We did a few more pulls and switched so others could get a ride.

It is difficult to summarize the experience of riding in this car(I could go on and on)... And when you get out you feel like you just had the best lay of your life...

Thanks again Paolo for the opportunity to watch this car come to life over the last year. Your dedication is second to none.

John D.

Re: A RIDE IN THE PC TWIN TURBO

I finally had the chance to see that beast on the road :thumb: and I have some footage from last night. Unfortunately my batteries finally ran out and will force me to finally purchase another power supply for my video camera. United lost my luggage containing all my electronic accessories and I just haven't replaced them yet

I'll post the footage once I get my batteries charged up :thumb:

I'm kicking myself in the ass for shutting my camera off right before a State Trooper almost found out the hard way how Paolo's brake setup performs.

It was a sight to see

Re: A RIDE IN THE PC TWIN TURBO

what an experience it was running next to that machine... we lined up on a nice stretch of road for a 2nd gear roll on.. by the time i was shifting to 5th at close to 150mph I could barely see his taillights!! And if that was't enough, i started in 2nd and he had the auto locked in 4th.. Ridiculous!!

Yeah, I looked in my side mirror and saw his car all over the road. I thought he was trying to round us all up, but than realized he was trying to avoid a meeting the concrete median

Re: A RIDE IN THE PC TWIN TURBO

It was quite entertaining. I never got the full experience unfortunately. As I got my turn a state trooper got introduced to ENZOWHO (and almost a concrete barrier). But from the short blast I felt, I can only imagine what its like. John W and I were well into a race (his 98 GTS v my 03 cobra) we Passed Paolo (who was going about 50) right as we passed 100mph. Paolo had easily caught us before we hit 150 and had slowed to our speed. Again he hat the auto locked in 4th the whole time. It is quite amazing.

Beautiful write up. Hopefully this summer Paolo will come out here or I will go out there. Cannot wait to see the beast. I emailed Carlisle to ask if their dyno can even handle his car for their Chryslers at Carlisle dyno challenge

Tom, great run last night ... nose to nose 97 viper GTS (headers/exhaust) and a 03 mustang Cobra (ported blower, chip,etc...) 50-140mph

That is a FAST Mofo!!!

You will be surprising a lot of people this summer

Re: A RIDE IN THE PC TWIN TURBO

John its awesome to finally be a ble to keep up and see and feel what the action is all about. The Lightning was fun, but I would have been so far back from you in that same race that it wouldn't have been humorous. Finally I know what everone has been doing closer to the front of the back.
